  • Sound Great, Doe's this unit just go right thought the amp like any other pedal or is there some other set up necessary. Thanks

  • @runrabbitrun4342 I dont have an effects loop, Marshall jtm45/100.

  • Yeah sounds fantastic!!

  • What is that he plays at 0:40? Nice riff! Nice playing!

  • What do I think? I think we should jam sometime :D

  • cool reverb, awesome playing sounds great.

  • 3:48 sounds like a real room, nice. I used to use Lexicon hardware, but I went all Mac and now i miss it. :(

  • The new Digitech Hardwire reverb has that lexicon chip inside. (As Lexicon now is part of the HARMAN Group, wich allso has DBX, JBL, Lexicon, Soundcraft and more.

  • hey have you tried the lexicon lxp-5??

  • love your style of playing! what are the chords to the very first thing you play??

  • Well.. that all sounds good to me !!!

Your playing is ace too, which helps !!

Lexicon stuff generally is pretty damned good.

I bought a Lexicon Alpha soundcard at a bootfair for £10 and it totally transformed the sound quality of my recordings. The one I really have the hankerings after though, is the Lexicon Vortex !!

Anyhoo... Nice Demo, thanks for that.

  • Hi! Sounds great! Question:How did you hook your gear up? Also I notice that the input signal light on your lexicon rarely comes on. The manual says to set the input on the lexicon so that you are basically pushing just up to the red light. I don't see that happening on yours. Any comments would be great!

  • @exchangemode I ran the Lexicon in the effects loop of my Reverend Hellhound.

  • @rotren So it is okay to have the LED's not lighting up. I was worrying about signal to noise. How would it be hooked up if the amp does not have an effects loop? Wouldn't the guitar signal be way too weak to drive it? What then?

  • @exchangemode Hmm, not sure. I think it is best/easiest to run this through an fx loop.

  • Great playing and tone! Thanks for not being one of those, "purist tone snobs" that, "won't use rack effects." It's nice to see someone using a TELE and a TUBE AMP combined with a nice rack unit. And, it sounds great!

  • Wow, how inventive and original was that playing? I'm just blown away. Also it's great how he didn't mention any of the features of the LXP-1 itself. Why let the actual product features get in the way of a great demo.

  • why every single guitar player in the world gets the SAME generic Eric Clapton guitar center safe tone ... TURN THAT REVERB WAYYY UP dude so you can sound different or dont use any reverb .. cause everybody and i mean MILLIONSd of guitar players play that (just enough reverb) to get a nice tone sound.... but hey NICe playingf none of the less

  • hello,

nice demo of the lexicon Lxp-1, I do have the lexicon alex,,,,,,,,,,,thank you

    cheers, tonio

  • Landau! :)

  • The LXP-1 sounds really good here (Alex and Reflex have the same chip inside and will sound just as good). I have a Lexicon MX-300 and I like it very much.

  • love the tucked in shirt

  • Nice sounding unit, and nice playing. Liking the Mike Landau at 40 seconds...

  • Makes a a very welcome change from hearing all these distortion merchants you here demoing stuff on here.

  • uh....whoa.....beautiful

  • I came to hear the LXP, but I stayed for the exquisite playing.

    You sir are an inspiration!

  • @SoraxTheOriginal

Nicely put... couldn't have said it better myself.

Likewise, I came here to hear what the LXP1 I'm watching on ebay sounds like, and discovered this amazing guitarist !!!!!

  • Outstanding pick''n dude.

  • Hey Nice guitar work, I have a Lexicon lxp-5 ..no paper work ,sure could any info you may want to share..Thanks and have a blessed day...Joe

  • Comment removed

  • Anyone knows the name of the song he plays at 2:51? It's so sweet and mellow...

  • @Youtubax The name of the song is Lenny by Stevie Ray Vaughan

  • ... seems like "Lenny".

  • Sounds dandy dawg.

  • Are you Joe Walsh`s long lost twin?

  • I knew it! you like michael landau. "Good Friend"... yeah

  • Hey can you give me the best reverb setup on logic for vocals if your recording rap sons?

  • FRIENDS HELP! i want to but a guitar lke this video "with single coil" for this soft sound, who can tell me a good cheap guitar? thx

  • hey ersemola,

the guitar he is playing IS a cheap guitar. that is a fender squier telecaster. but the majority of that sound to which your refer is his PLAYING and not so much the guitar. like ralphian67 says, "this guy would make a $40 Harmony from a garage sale sound sweet" ... it's all in the hands, my friend!

  • Yeah it sounds great, haven't ever heard a bad sounding Lexicon reverb.

  • Lexicon or not -- this guy would make a $40 Harmony from a garage sale sound sweet - unplugged. That was fantastic ...

ps. The reverb was pretty killer.

  • 3:23 Wonderful sounding. Great tone.

  • Dude!! I'm diggin your guitar playin man. You should post some vids featuring you not the equipment.. Way to be!

  • Probably the best reverb I've heard. I hear Lexicon also has a plugin of their legendary reverb. You're an excellent rhythm player, that's a rare find these days.... cheers

  • Sounds sweet to me :D

  • Could this be used MIDI applications?

  • Love Good Friend! ;D Does it have as much effects as the Lexicon Mpx-1 ? For ex Delay Chorus?

  • solid, great tone. love the open feeling of a straight jam. Don't know what is lexicon and what is amped room acoustics. Sounds like the recording is post power amp. Thanks for the post.

  • I came here to listen to the reverb. But damn, i forgot all about reverb when i saw this guy play! So much feeling! And with the reverb on, it's just...wow!

  • so peaceful and relaxing sounding. a lullaby... not to sound cliche or a dumbass

  • Yes I agree it sounds great.

  • very well Done!!! your a great player!!!

  • one of the best licks ive heard at 0.09

  • incredible playing

  • wow that´s a really good amp

  • incredible playing

  • real nice sound, Blues player for sure.. and a great one at that

  • check the lpx 5 - nice multis

  • great playing, nice feel!

  • Or better yet, a run down of your equipment list, what amp is that?

  • Squier Tele, Reverend Hellhound with a 2x12 Avatar cabinet. The only pedal used was a 19 Sixty 3 clean boost pedal. Great pedal.

  • @rotren that tele sounds good for a tele dude

  • @rotren for a squier tele

  • It's called Lexicon Reverb sounds..... I guess it would make sense to ask what Lexicon device are you using?

  • Thanks! It's the oldest daughter's drum set.

Staccato stuff I do mostly mute with my left hand. The right hand just goes up and down.

No album, I hope one day! Glad you like my stuff.

  • I just reread this and I can do that funky stuff just fine now. I wasn't relaxing. You still sound super-sweet. Thanks for all your demos. So enjoyable!

  • How do you get that cool staccato sound with the funky chords (2:00 to about 2:20 min mark). Other than strumming either up or down very quickly, are you muting with you right hand, or letting your left hand off the fretboard. It always seems to buzz when I just let my left hand relax. It sounds so cool how you do it. You've won a huge new fan. Do you have an album out?

  • awesome stuff! did you get yourself a drumset too?!

  • Thanks! 09-42

  • Awesome job. What gauge strings do you use?

  • I use a Sony DCR TRV-33 miniDV camcorder. That's it.

  • Nice video, may I ask how you record all your clips?

  • Thanks! I am very happy with my guitar tone right now!

  • nice playin as always. how much was the lexicon for?
