yeah, if you watch the shuttle launches you will see tons of water being poured onto the ground to help absorb some of the vibrations, but yes within certain distances the sound CAN/WILL kill you.

@rackas321 YES! Sorry, couldn't resist, sound is vibrations moving through the air, not much different from shaking something. Enough vibrations WILL KILL YOU! Still there? Good.
