Those of us in that whole punk thing--Clash, Ramones, Stranglers didn't give a fuck about Stewart--we'd stopped listening to his sorry ass after Every Picture. Stewart is still a fogey singing pop tunes to drunks in Vegas. He's as pathetic as the Stones--who are now little more than walking zombies.

Before Faces was Small Faces fronted by Steve Marriott. It took two people--Ron Wood and Rod Stewart to replace Marriott in the reformed Faces. And combined, they were not half the talent that Marriott was.

And the Faces did nothing that was exceptional.

Stewart did OK with Every Picture, but most of his releases since have been mediocre crap.

And he's now just an old fogey taking a paycheck.

You baffle me - if The Pistols and Stewart are has beens (which I agree with) what does that make the original punks - with few exceptions they have ALL sold out!!! .Faces were never meant to take up where the Small Faces left off and I disagree - Marriot was nothing compared to Stewart, who "waffled through" his songs, Rod built his career based on his voice - climbing the ranks from John Baldry, to Brian Auger & Jeff Beck, not on a "movement".Never A Dull cained Every Picture!
