I can only find listings for 2009 where an H3 locks the front diff. I can only find an Eaton locker for the rear only on the H2. What type of locker is OEM is in the front diff?

a wider wheel base huh, that is exactly why it is easier for a hummer to bottom out on the axles than for a jeep to. the hummer only has one 4wd system, and it is the same one as the tahoe, the yukon, the silverado, and the sierra. The jeep wrangler alone has three different 4wd systems to choose from, and they are all both part-time and full-time.
its not the same as the tahoe, etc. The 4X4 option i mean are a lot different. And the hummer can go on a steeper side slope b/c of wheel-base. The jeep doesnt have much power. The H2 has a ton of power, and does something that the tahoe, etc cant do, and never a jeep
of cousrse the hummer has more power, it is a big freakin heap! the jeep doesn't need all that power because it is not as big and heavy as the hummer. actually the jeep can go on a steeper slope because it has better entry and departure angles than the hummer. if your looking for power in a jeep the grand cherokee overland has a 5.7 liter hemi v8 witch has more horse power than the hummers 5.3 liter or the 6.0 liter!
Wider wheel base has DICK to do with bottoming out on the axles....tire height has EVERYTHING to do with it (Besides driver, that is) I've been in a Jeep Wrangler, and they have the exact same amount of "options" for 4x4 as the others you listed : 2-hi, 4-hi, 4-lo. The Rubicon I was in didn't have an "auto" choice like the others listed, and the Escalade has full time AWD standard (if you're into that gay crap). So, sorry guy, fundamentally, they're all the exact same in the list.
actually the jeep does not have 4 hi and 4 lo. it has 2wd, part time, full time, and low. It gives you the option to loke the diffs or to lock the say bar. and the wrangler would never have auto because your offroading not going to the mall.
So, wise guy, tell me what you think "part-time" and "full-time" 4 wheel drive is and what makes them different. As far as I understand, no Wrangler has ever been born with "full-time" 4x4...sway bars have nothing to do with 4x4 drive systems, only for suspension flex, and all the other trucks you listed come with G80 Eaton locking diffs....or didn't you know that? The Wrangler Rubicon, in 4x4 drive systems, has one option less than the others listed, 2HI, 4HI, N, 4LO....and that's it.
If you think your so smart, when the vehicle is in part time it has the front and rear diffs locked, full time has the diffs open, and lo has them locked but with a different gear ratio. and every jeep that has selec trac, comman trac, and roc trac, 4x4systems has 2hi, part time, full time, N and low. and gms only come with a locker if you opt for the z71 package. the sway bar assists the four wheel drive by taking the pressure of the wheels so they can move freely . . . and that is it!!!

actually dumbass jeeps are better off road because they are not as big and bulky as hummers are. jeeps have a more advanced 4wd system than hummers do. hammers are easier to bottom out than a jeep because the wheels are farther apart. hummers are a joke!

a wider wheel base huh, that is exactly why it is easier for a hummer to bottom out on the axles than for a jeep to. the hummer only has one 4wd system, and it is the same one as the tahoe, the yukon, the silverado, and the sierra. The jeep wrangler alone has three different 4wd systems to choose from, and they are all both part-time and full-time.

its not the same as the tahoe, etc. The 4X4 option i mean are a lot different. And the hummer can go on a steeper side slope b/c of wheel-base. The jeep doesnt have much power. The H2 has a ton of power, and does something that the tahoe, etc cant do, and never a jeep

of cousrse the hummer has more power, it is a big freakin heap! the jeep doesn't need all that power because it is not as big and heavy as the hummer. actually the jeep can go on a steeper slope because it has better entry and departure angles than the hummer. if your looking for power in a jeep the grand cherokee overland has a 5.7 liter hemi v8 witch has more horse power than the hummers 5.3 liter or the 6.0 liter!

Wider wheel base has DICK to do with bottoming out on the axles....tire height has EVERYTHING to do with it (Besides driver, that is) I've been in a Jeep Wrangler, and they have the exact same amount of "options" for 4x4 as the others you listed : 2-hi, 4-hi, 4-lo. The Rubicon I was in didn't have an "auto" choice like the others listed, and the Escalade has full time AWD standard (if you're into that gay crap). So, sorry guy, fundamentally, they're all the exact same in the list.

actually the jeep does not have 4 hi and 4 lo. it has 2wd, part time, full time, and low. It gives you the option to loke the diffs or to lock the say bar. and the wrangler would never have auto because your offroading not going to the mall.

So, wise guy, tell me what you think "part-time" and "full-time" 4 wheel drive is and what makes them different. As far as I understand, no Wrangler has ever been born with "full-time" 4x4...sway bars have nothing to do with 4x4 drive systems, only for suspension flex, and all the other trucks you listed come with G80 Eaton locking diffs....or didn't you know that? The Wrangler Rubicon, in 4x4 drive systems, has one option less than the others listed, 2HI, 4HI, N, 4LO....and that's it.

If you think your so smart, when the vehicle is in part time it has the front and rear diffs locked, full time has the diffs open, and lo has them locked but with a different gear ratio. and every jeep that has selec trac, comman trac, and roc trac, 4x4systems has 2hi, part time, full time, N and low. and gms only come with a locker if you opt for the z71 package. the sway bar assists the four wheel drive by taking the pressure of the wheels so they can move freely . . . and that is it!!!

And the locking rear diff is NOT just a Z71 option. You can order it in ANY GM truck. Is there a Z71 package STANDARD on the Caddy Escalade? Because they come with the locking diff....standard. Educate yourself, jackoff. Honestly, I hope your lack of intelligence doesn't pass to your kids.

Actually the difference is the Jeep, both front and rear differentials lock. I understand the Hummer will only lock the rear diff.

my stock suzuki Samurai JL left an h2 at the bottom of a hill on one outing, but i went back cuz a jeep cj rig and i winched his the h2 up the hill...
jeeps, zukis, old fj's, and d90's are true offroaders... if you buy any hummer your not doing it to go offroading, h2s are tahoe chassis with a hummer body and so is the h3.
thats why i needed the cj for help to tow that hummers fatass.

yup, complete driver error, if said driver knew their vehicle well enough, they would know its limitations and attack the obstacle differently..
I personally blame the failure of hummers to the people that typically drive them offroad, not the vehicles themselves, that being said I have seen quite a few great scenes of a hummer's offroad ability, just in my local area!
This is coming from a 1991 nissan pathfinder owner, and offroad enthusiast. :D

Change out the axles' for Dana's & pop in a locking transfer-front-rear differential, loose some weight and it will go.

It's an H3. The H3 is built on the Colorado/Canyon chassis. The H2 is built on the Yukon/Tahoe chassis. Get it straight.
