  • I give you a standing ovation. God bless you and may you shine in the world like the eastern sun. Bravo. Bravo. Bravissimo.

  • respect

  • like si piensas que los chinos , japoneses , coreanos , son unos hijos de la gran puta :)

  • Are you guys stupied???he is using a microphone it makes the sound better but he played well:]

  • I was right in the middle of writing a fucking comment when the shitting auto-play changed video! There are 13 dislikes. Well I'd like to see those guys do better. Even if they can, could they have done it at 14? Even if they could have, is that a reason to dislike it? Give the kid a break. How can you have the heart to click dislike when he's put in so much practice? I know how much practice it takes because I've done that much practice. However, I wasn't even playing at 14.

  • damn your head is huge and you have baby fingers,,,,,cant stop lol'n

  • Very nice! REV 18

  • excelenete

  • this last vibrato isnt fine

  • he plays it better than I, but you know what!? at that age I was having fun with my friends jamming blues and its why today im not as skillfull as he will when he'll be my age.

  • penso que um pouco rápido demais

  • Why do all classicl guitarist stare at the guitar before starting? It seems a bit staged. Anyways, played a bit too quickly and the melody was overrun...otherwise nicely done.

  • This boy play very well

  • haha...very good. . .

  • His arm and hand are in a strange position. His fingers seem tense as well. That's not technically good. Can any classical guitarists confirm this? He is however very good.

  • His left and right hands/fingers are just fine.

  • @DannyBoyInMarseille hes tense because his shirt is buttoned all the way up to his adams apple. His guitar playing is beautiful and having played classical (not that well), I am amazed at his poise and patience with the music at such a young age. The right hand should be a little more relaxed, but his tone and inflection is very good.

  • Beautiful!!

  • niiiice, this little boy is great

    nice technique and musicality

  • aaa pinche chinitoo.. jajaja todo copian

  • Cet enfant est vraiment doué ! Néanmoins tempo trop rapide .

  • Beautiful music!! Well done! I wish I could play like this.

  • o fridd nguoll!!!!haah

  • Very nice. Good interpretation.

  • Perfect, beautiful.

  • Im just suggesting perhaps your sleeve touches the 6th string because it sounds mute sometimes?

  • you are a star

  • Hes the cutest kid ive ever seen and a great player too.

  • you are little genius!!!!!!!

  • Great Job

  • Great job. Really.

  • that is very nice! very warm and well played!

    bravo bravo bravo!!

  • It's BWV, not BMV! It means Bach-Werke-Verzeichnis (Bach Works Catalogue)!!!!

  • how about a BMW

  • It stands for Bach-Mobile-Wagon, that would be a sweet ride!

  • @jackjiezhang How delightfully brainless!

  • wow very nicely done...not many can play like that, especially at ur age

  • great sound and beautifully played, congrate, patrick

  • bravo young man,you play great!*****

  • very very nice :) Great tone

  • extraterestrials... :|

  • no no no...robots!

  • Muy bien!!!!

    Podrias mandarme las partituras?

  • It is so nice to see that there are so many good guitarists on china, Korea and so on. Me from europe, i love the way they are playing and it makes me happy, that they like the classical guitar music. In my opinion they bring a very new big richness to us here in western countries, to all guitarists. We should enjoy this and see how music brings people together. And this young man is fantastic.

  • Really good performance and very nice sound.

    Congratulations!

  • La chitarra è una caccavella, però o "piccirillo" è bbuone! Anche se made in China.

  • who is this kid? he's amazing!

  • all right good performance from this little mao tse tung

  • lolz

  • bellissima esecuzione.. ...da brividi... si..certo me li hai fatti venire.. grzie.. amo bach..ora lo amo ancora di piu...bellissimo..

  • Wow. This kid is going places. Hmm for those haters..... uh nvm, not worth my time mentioning. Cheeeers!

  • Prelude BMV 998 - JS Bach, no es BWV :P Impresionante Ejecucion...

  • awesome job.

  • This china boy's mother prolly ate the guitar when she was hungry!

  • you have future

  • Que bonito vê-lo e ouvi-lo tocar, parabéns. Adoro essa peça

  • as a german monk named Martin luther said: if you have been working hard during all your life you´ll always see people that think they can teach you even though they dont know a shit about something.

  • LOL! I agree, I play this piece, and along with the fugue and allegro, i know just how difficult it is to play - some of the comments below are just self-serving, when not moronic - this is a superb recital - and trust me, i know what i'm talking about

  • Hard to believe that the FOUNDER of the Lutheran church said a word of profanity.

I do agree with what you said though.

  • haha i'm sorry he didn't say that exactly I just wanted to emphasize what he said with a rude expression

  • Wow that was great, I've learnt to play this but its done so much better here. He makes it look so easy.

  • Wrong way around mate. Great music played boringly.

  • A great musical performance by a very talented young

player. Would be good to hear more from him!

  • he's the size of a kid but he looks like he could be thirty

  • the guitar sound is 10+ .... great guitar

  • I have probably listened to every version of this prelude out there.... This is actually the nearest to Bachs original intended music.

  • why?

  • Coz I said so see... Seriously he is just playing it as it is without OTT sentiment and artistic mumbo jumbo...Well that's my opinion ok. The mistakes are forgiven as he is just a kid anyway.

  • What gives?... be interested in your thoughts on my version (at my U2b link). I love classical guitar but have little training. I've noticed how "straight" some versions are.

  • Jeff, The sound quality of that clip was too poor but your other videos are fantastic, you are a gifted player. My point above is that Bach's music requires no further embelishment. Playing it 'straight' is probably enough.

  • Maybe he just doesn't enjoy the song.

  • Muy bien.

  • Very well done.

  • good jod you will be one of the best around the word.

  • that was outstanding!

£100 says he's going places in the future!

  • chunky monkey, but great playing

  • yeah, finnaly a hamster guitarist!

  • Great!!!

  • Get a life sab. This child has great potential.

  • Incredible technique and regards for the musical line

    Bravo young man!

  • the best and most beautiful of him is the discipline he shows to have. it's a demonstration of how high is today the level of musicians worldwide.

  • What is this small guitar?

  • just like a robot

  • Really very good rendition.

Pity Su Meng's version was taken off of YouTube.

  • sab3156

"How about you consider the fact that you don't know who I am. Therefore, you cannot say how talented I am musically"

True, but I can say you are a twat

  • OMG how old is him, my teacher plays as good as he does

  • This kid is 14 year's old

  • Bravo! young man! Bravo! It so great to see many young asian musicans choosing to master this fine instrument.

  • I wish I could have played like him at his age.

This is what you get when you don't spend 10hrs a day playing Nintendo.

  • For his age he sounds amazing! It'll be interesting to see what kind of player he turns out to be.

  • sab3156 you are but a fool

  • Undoubtedly, He is a MAESTRO!!!

    Thanx...

  • The amazing thing was that the video was shot in a photo booth at Guangdong airport. If you listen closely, you can hear his passport photo's developing.

  • awesome!!

  • heh, those who are most critical have the least to offer. Make your own video playing this song. Til then, try being critical of something in which you may actually be able to fathom...

  • 100% support.

  • sab, you articulate everything the same way too, like an idiot

  • That makes zero sense. Learn how to analyze music, and then talk.

  • Yeah, how dares he to do that, he's only a child for Gods sake.

  • I would like to hear more of the important notes sounding clearer, and not everything the same volume, there are no dynamics. He articulates every note the same way.

  • Having high expectation is good. But sometimes we really need to consider the performer's age. He is only 14 and you can imagine how long does he learnt classical guitar. I would guarantee that some people who played classical guitar for over 10 years still cannot perform like him.

I don't know if you have kid or not. But I'm afraid you will never encourage your kid unless they can play like mozart :(

  • Not true. But why lie and tell my kid false things, like "Oh my God, you play like Liszt, I SWEAR!"

Better to focus on the learning. Encouragement will always be there, but lying is another thing.

  • I don't encourage lying neither. The point is that consider the age and effort, this kid is amazing.

Let me take an example to illustrate my point. A 8 year old kid play golf 3 years. He hit a Par 3 shot of 180 yards. He make the ball on the green with 1 shot. I will say he is amazing.

Applying your philosphy, you will say this kid is bad because he is not "hole-in-one".

Anyway, everyone has his own view point.

Keep your opinion (there is no right or wrong), and Enjoy!

  • Just remember that a lot of encouragement of your sort can lead to the failure of a child due to too much pride. It has happened to many soon-to-become geniuses of music, and continues to happen today.

  • You just reminded me that there are lots of children who give up their music, just because a harsh discouragement from nobody, and continue to happen tomorrow.

  • sab3156, you still cannot point out how bad is this kid playing classical guitar. It is no point saying he is not good, but not telling people "how bad"

  • For one, there is no interesting style. The baroque style is just not there, and it's played too strictly. How old is this kid, by the way?

  • This kid is 14 years old

  • sab u are a nob. this child has talent. moron

  • Are you sure it is "talent" and not just discipline? I know many goofballs who learned an instrument. They were bad at first but played for a few years and excelled. I have played guitar for 40 years almost and am not talented for it. Although 99% of people who hear me think I am a genius. That is the general perception from every day people when one plays fair. Also, this "kid" may be 15? Who knows? Peace

  • And I'm sure you know a lot about classical guitar playing? I think not.

  • Why wouldn't you consider his age ?? The kids got something you never have or will ever possess. Its called Talent!! Go back to playing your Nintendo!

  • How about you consider the fact that you don't know who I am. Therefore, you cannot say how talented I am musically.

  • sab3156, yes I don't know who you are and thus I cannot say how talented you are musically. To prove you have the weight to comment other, the best way is to post your own video of playing classical guitar.

  • Or better yet, you can come to my recitals.

  • Before I spend time go to your recital, please post your video and let me consider if it is worth spending my time.

  • You people need to objectively listen to his playing and stop concentrating on his age. Only then will you see that it's not good.

  • sab3156, Could you be more objectively comment what are the bad areas? "Good" and "Bad" is a subjective term and "How Good" and "How Bad" is a objective term. That is you need to compare this kid with others to say "Good" or "Bad". When comparing this kid with other kid at the same age, I believe he is "Good". When comparing him with John William, he is definitely "Bad". So could you comment he is good, when comparing with you?

  • No, I cannot.

  • I'm confused as to what you are suggesting is REALLY wrong with his technique and playing? I admit to there being some things that could be cleaned up, and some knowledge as to the style of the piece, but what else?

  • oh

i'm a person who is listening with concentration and i have a notion of bach pieces!

    it's good!

  • wow bravo, god im 21 i feel like shit now

  • err...ehemmm .. that makes two of us feel like shits.

  • well, time to practice....

  • he reminds me of my aborted fetus, except he only plays half as good

  • what are your parents feeding you, kid? Your not supposed to be that good. AWESOME : )

  • Would sound even nicer slowed down a bit..

  • this japa plays a lot!!! I hope he never gives up playing!!!!

  • i'll be damned..

  • makes me feel worthless, i suck and twice his age

  • unbelieveble

  • really impressive for a guy of his age!!!

many older players should take an example of him!

  • When I was his age...My mommy bought me a really big hot dog.

  • HOLY CRAP!??! HOW OLD IS THIS DUDE!?!?

  • FANTASTIC!!!!

  • Damn,him again!!!

  • Who is the player?

  • Such beautiful and mature playing! Exquisite phrasing and a very tasteful sense of rubato.
