It has taken twenty years for me to hear Kate Rusby. I was watching a prog about the dales when I heard Kate. I was on youtube all night soaking up the songs of KR and I did not find a bad one. I purchased the Livefromleeds dvd and if you are going to the Halifax gig tomorrow night I will see you there. Kate is a brilliant singer ,song writer and she makes music look easy and I love the way she sings in a Barnsley accent.

I'm yet another Prof Cox and 'Universe' connector! just had to trace this beautiful track. I now know this song pretty well, and it will be part of my reportoire this summer when I get back to the Kootenays in Canada.

I will really try and get to see her when I'm back this autumn, but I fear she may take the winter off!

dazzajlee, I hope things are getting better for you. I got through a rough patch listening to a lot of Kate's music too. Be strong and accept help from those who care about you. There is a good world out there. Kate has had her bad times too apparently, which is probably why her music touches us so accutely. Love listening to her voice and the mix of touching and amusing she performs. She helps me laugh as well as cry!
