This is most likely about a female runner who had male gene, or more importantly a switch that gives a female a male characteristics, that are obvious to the eye. This resulted in them being bnned. Had to be rethought when feminene" women had same gene. Had to look at chromosome; and whether it was switched on. Others ill know the details better than I.
