  • I am a chronic cluster head,have had it for 4 years

  • gracias por este vídeo mucha gente sabrá el sufrimiento que padecemos a diario ojala se hicieran mas vídeos como este y que el oxigeno es lo mejor para este dolor

  • Hello Anthony & viewers of this video, I have a request and as this moving story appears to be a good place to reach the people I'm looking for, I hope it's okay that I post here.

I'm an actor & theatre practitioner in London, currently working on a verbatim project on the AMERICAN HEALTH CARE SYSTEM and needing willing participants to share their views & experiences. Please click my Channel for more info. I'm looking forward to hearing from you, Anthony, or any page visitor. Thanks.

  • i get them as well. earyother yr. since '94. just started this one now. mine last for about 3-6weeks. tired of taking soo many o.t.c.'s. is there any FAST releif. PLEASE PLEASE let me know

  • 23, male. I'm episodic with periods lasting 3-4 weeks, followed by a 4 week remission.

I wouldn't know where to place myself on a 1-10. Every one seems like a 10, but it tends to fluctuate.... though they're rarely below a 5.

This video demonstrates the pain so... well, it's distressing, even to me.

To anyone who doesn't suffer, please understand that very little can be done to abort attacks, even o2 for me does very little aside from reduce the time frame. The pain is still there.

  • you are very brave... i am 13 and my dad has cluster head aches and do you have any methods to prevent them ?

  • sorry to my fellow sufferes. my cluster season will beginn soon, i will be crying like the guy on the video. I always ask myself what i did wrong to deserve it, I was just a kid when it started, when will it leave me alone. am a woman by the way.

  • Just try to understand his pain. I know its hard, because you dont experience it yourself, but try to be understanding when your dad gets an attack. Its a horrible experience....

  • hi i feel your pain i am a 33 year old female and also suffer from c h tis been 12 years now

  • A friend of mine is headache specialist, she say that your headache should be accurately diagnosed, and you'd better upload all your suffering episode, gather all the symptoms to make a diagnosis, next she could make a curing plan for you. Take a good care!

  • try and meditate the pain of havingyour finger nails pulled off one by one. at least that pain is momentary and subsides after you stop pulling the nails! CH doesnt subside! it just gets worse and continues at an equally high level for the duration ( 30 minutes to 2 hours) at the same intense high pain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • psylocybe works. also lsd. Please do it with MANY caution (I did with a doctor) it breaked up a terrible cycle (I was cronical) it's 9 months I have nothing. OH GOD people HOLD ON.

  • This is happening all around us, even as I write this comment or as you read it. People in pain, in the richest country in the world, people alone and in pain. This should never be happening. No one should have to suffer so. Not in the 21st century, not in America.

  • What about people in Brasil, Guatemala, Botswana, Congo, ?

This must to became a worldwide movement about research and cure this monster dicease. Or we do something, or thing is gonna still the same. I suffer this CH las 30 years, but just recently I found verapamil, a very efficient remedy. I need 320 mm everyday during crises. Thanks god i am not chronical.

  • fuck man, as a fellow clusterhead, is this happening because he was denied the drugs at his hospital??? if it is then that's just fucking sick man, just sick. try to come to thailand for drug stock up.

  • chesus christ... why did his wife leaved him?

Dude, i hope you find some cash to ease the pain or even stop it.

THE USA GOVERNMENT SUCKS BIG TIME! I'M GLAD THAT I DON'T LIVE THERE!

Hang on Anthony! btw my name is Anthony too, i really hope you win the battle with this disease

  • I'm also a Cluster Head and believe me I wouldn't wish this pain on my worst enemy. The drug used to abort these h.a. cost about $400 for just two injections. I get four CH a day during a cycle. Our politicians don't care about us. Maybe there should be fund raisers for CH suffers so we can afford this high priced meds. If you suffer from this, see a neurologist immediately. God Bless those who suffer from this and don't give up hope. thank you

  • This is horrible! Omg!I just want to reach out from my computerscreen..

  • I got a head ache watching this...that was terrible, I think he better get some thing for pain!!!!

I know him to.....I really know this guy. He use to be married to a friend of mine. He didn't have this when they were married.

  • well if u know this guy

    help him!!!

    give him some weed!

  • I'm American And Glad I moved too Canada!

  • Dear Sir/Modam,

Can you please help me end my homelessness and stop my seizures by having brain surgery and live as normal life as I always had before being struck with endless Grand Mal seizures for 10 years.

Please write a letter on my behalf to:

    Senator Dianne Feinstein

    One Post Street, Suite 2450,

    San Fransisco, Ca. 94104

Thank you for your considerate and caring help.

  • I suffer from CH, every three years or so i get an attack lasting for 4-6 weeks, it's unbearable pain but for chronic sufferers it's hell. no person should be denied pain relief in this day and age especially in a country as wealthy as the states. ps my routine during attacks is a hairdryer full heat into the eye for some 'mild' relief.

  • this is horrible. he should get medical help for the condition. How can people stand by and watch this happen without anything being done to prevent it. Have we lost touch we the basic human emotion of heeling pain?

  • One huge problem is the media who rarely ever talks about important social problems such as this. The media propaganda machine is very busy trying to convince Americans that Universal Healthcare is bad. That foreign systems are subpar. They waste no time attacking Michael Moore personally whilst claimng that social healthcare is Un-American. I can't be made to believe that Americans are stupid enough to buy into this nonsense! People are dying!

  • How can you that he's both an idiot and a liar? Isn't quite smart to lie to get his point out?

Btw, what is his point? Universal Healthcare... yea that's not a point at all. (I'm being ironic here.)

  • omg how can people be so ignorant, michael moore is an idiot. i feel terrible for this man but michael moore has no idea what hes talkin about. im cuban and we dont hav great healthcare children are killed if they are born w/ a disease like this.

  • I'm a college student and I work to support my self through college. I don't have health insurance and I haven't been to the doctor in more than 5 years. How can I get coverage when I can't afford it? Any help is appreciated.

  • OMG man ... how can we help... give a paypal account so we can maybe send some money to get what you need ... man this is ... no words... I so sorry

  • Hey, voodoo, I feel it touched you deep inside. But, well, if you are not the goverment, all you can do is send some money for oxygen, maybe a pack of verapamil. But you houldn't be worried about it. US goverment send trillions of us$ for iraq. And for what? To make more money. People's health? Oh, this is a bad business. In some countries, health is a social issue, not a business. but.....

  • Man made money..a terrible thing...this is dad sad for a statement like that to be here no doe no help you don't

deserve it?..Money or not people should not be deny espeaclly in a life death siuation..

Where has all the humanty gone.. :(

  • This looks appalling - how much would oxygen cost and have you tried it at all? Looking at the website you suggest, it seems to only work for some people. Not suggesting for a moment you're wrong, just wondering if you've tried it.

  • Katrina.....oh katrina! Sing with me ya'll!! The US POST OFFICE DOES A GREAT JOB! FEMA DID A GREAT JOB AFTER KATRINA! OUR GOVT INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES ARE STELLAR! THE DEPT OF MOTOR VEHICLES IS GRAND! OUR SCHOOL SYSTEM IS PERFECT! Yes, we need the government to handle health care too, just the way they beautifully handle all of the above. A minds is a turbull thing to waste, ya'll. Wake up Liberal Jack-asses, and take a whiff of what you shovelin'.

  • this damn cynicism about our country being the greatest is bullshit! A real contributor to why people are faced with problems like these when it comes to health insurance is because of our own damn individualism. We don't want to care for people if we don't have to. The same shit these big biz corps are doing to other 3rd world countries, they are doing to us. You tell me what's the difference????...

  • dear artonio7 ,

i hope you figure out what is causing this madness..

..i can identify, from the age of 11 through 14 i had headaches everyday. To this day i think it was dietry, lactose.. or wheat intollorance.. i tried magnesium, ...

but i guess you have done some serious research on the topic, without success. If you say Oxygen is an effective abortive, perhaps your body needs something to assist its absorption ..

  • All of you dumbshits: healthcare is NOT free! It can't be! we will lose money in the billions, then we will no longer be the greatest nation on earth. If you can't pay, you dont deserve it

  • sorry wrong movie, i apologize antonio

  • Your argument is fascist. "Those who have money are better than those who do not. Those who do not have money should not be allowed access to HEALTH CARE." What's next, the poor should not be allowed food? Shut down to soup kitchens and shelters!!! These people are sub-human! Why? The weren't born with a trust-fund!! BURN THEM!!! EVIL!!!

  • I worked in the health care system in this country for close to forty years and I can confidently say that the health care system as it exists is a national and international disgrace and if something isn´t done very quickly it will cease funstioning altogether.

  • I'm so very sorry for you and will devote a quite time in prayer. I will believe while praying that god can heal you.

  • I commend you for not killing yourself by now. I think I would!

  • Antonio I just stumbled upon something that apparently will give you immediate relief with your cluster headaches. It's called magnesium oil and can be found at ihsite dot com. I heard testimonials from those who experience these awful pains and they said nothing works as fast or effective as this stuff. I can only hope you look into this and that it frees you from these headaches.

  • I'm so sorry antonio, I couldn't imagine going through what you do every single day. How can any insurance company not see how exruciating your pains are? its past ridiculous...have you ever thought of moving to another country for the right treatment? i think taking matters into your own hands will save so much time

  • How can you go through this everyday and not want to kill yourself? It seems like the pain unbearable.

  • It is a CRIME that u cannot get oxygen covered by your insurance comnpany. I watched the entire video in horror. what is it going to take for things to change, a march on washington?? This country appeases us with cheap fast food, modern gadgets, entertainment, yet our health (the most important thing) is suffering!

  • Cluster headaches generally only ocur duing certain times per year and are not chronically disabling. Oxygen therapy should work and allow you to resume anormal life. Why are you not on oxyen in this video? What other symptoms do you get with your headaches? Do you smoke?

  • There are two types of cluster headache sufferers, episodic and chronic, I am a chronic sufferer. I could not afford oxygen and my insurance would not cover it, since then I discovered o2 works as an abort for me only part of the time.

  • You are an uninformed fucking idiot!

Get back to me when you pull your head out of your ass and research this!

Does Tony look like hes having fun, asshole?

  • You are a fool....Yes it is in his all in his head its a cluster headache and they are very real! Yes oxygen does help and the fresher the better.....Why dont you go bang your head on a brick wall until it hurts and then try to meditate tell me your success story on this when you do..........

  • HAHAHA that is the most stupidist and comment i have ever heard. have you ever even had a cluster headache??? if not then dont give advice that is soooo ignorant and uninformed. meditation might work for your puny little headaches but do you think you can you meditate when you have a hot knife being pushed through your eyeball??

  • You don't know what the fuck you are talking about, I HAD THE SAME FREAKING PROBLEM. So, read back my post and try again.. this time with some sources that prove me and my experiences wrong.

  • If cadabra thinks this is pschological, then I and every CH sufferer must be frigin nuts, cause if medititation could stop this then I'd make millions of dollars teaching CH people how to handle it. This cadabraa dude must be psychotic, ignorant, or a sadist, cause he has no idea about CH really, no idea dude, you haven't the faintest clue of how bad this is........... cut your frigin arm off and pour salt on it to try and get close to the pain!

  • Do you guys even read posts? Really.

  • WHAT THE HELL MATTER IS IT IF HE SMOKES OR NOT!! Hello genious, he can't afford the oxygen. Are you part of the health care system too!!

  • @L571J i have cronic cluster headache too, had meds wich helped me 9 months, now on friday 10/28 i am getting a head infiltration i really hope it helps cause i am getting desperrate, i have it for 4 years now, i had enough

  • @cluster1971 I have not experienced your particular pain, but I do understand how disabling such chronic headaches can be. My GF suffers from migraines, which are not chronic but are nonetheless disabling when they do occur. Four years is too long. May I inquire as to what hospitals you have been to/what doctors you have seen? What do you mean by "head infiltration?"

  • You should have the best of care. It´s hurts to see you in such pain. God Bless

  • Please Pray for This man .I am saying a Rosary for him .I know people like him who puke they are so bad and last for days .

  • i suffer these every 3 years for 6 weeks, each time seems worse. Morphine, Pethadine and oxygen helps me if taken all at once, each new time it takes a few days to get the hospital to come to terms with this condition before they help. thats the worse, i know, they dont, give me a gun i'll do it myself, quite happily to escape the pain and fear, for the sake of my children i hold off this time, this time i survived, next time...who knows.

  • I know what pain you are going through. Do not let this beast win.... don't give up.

    with warm regards,

    Artonio

  • oh, Man! I feel the pain for him. Sad, America has people like this and we are considered the richest country on earth. What a sad reality.

  • One of my caseload when I was a socialworker was a 52 year old man...too young for Medicaid and not disabled. Couldn't hold a job because he had a bladder condition and had to pee every 10 minutes. He picked up cans and sold plasma to have food to eat. There were hundreds of stories like this. You can only get help if you're disabled or have young children. I could do nothing to help him even buy adult diapers.

  • Having suffered these monsters for over 30 years, I cringe when I hear people call them "headaches." They are hardly comparable. It's as though someone's dug out your eye and stuck a iron post in the cavity. People lose jobs and families over these. All my best to you.

  • My husband had these. Even though I never had them myself, I lived them. I know what you go through. I hope you have a way of getting oxygen. That seemed to help him along with Imetrex. I feel for you. Bless your heart. Fragrances triggered his. Have you determined what triggers yours?

  • Thank you for your kind words, I hope that your husband is well and in remission. I have not noticed any fragrance or any other trigger for my CH... I'm chronic and sleep usually triggers attacks.

    with warm regards,

    Artonio

  • I know you exist

  • my heart goes out to u

  • my head hurts just watching this!

  • Damn, I HATE headaches! They are the worst! After watching this I feel for the guy because mine are nothing compared to this guy and I can't stand them!

  • P.S. I can't imagine what a 10 must feel like!

  • Insurance companies don't consider us to be humans, its all about PROFITS. To make a penny they'll let us all die. Progressive's Insurance Policy appears to be nothing more than a pyramid scheme in which those Corporate Executives at the top get richer and richer while injured policyholders are left without medical care as I have explained in my video "Progressive Insurance Has Treated Me as Road kill". It is nothing more than taxpayer subsidized profits for Corporations such as Progressive.

  • CRIPES! My "killer" migraines, bad as they are, a cake-walk compared to THIS! Last week's was so paid I FAINTED from the pain and my daughter called 911. I spent two days in the hospital. You had to BEG to get painkillers. I imagine you would, too. But oxygen? Are you KIDDING??? Come ON, folks! Like he's going to friggin' ABUSE IT! This just pisses me off. The poor guy here is suffering!

  • Sorry to bother you but just thought you'd like to know that our postings as a response to Michael Moore's plea do get a response. See our good news by going to you tube, typing my name in the search area, Clayton Redfield, and then going to the second choice down which has Michael Moore's picture above the words, SiCKO - Flint Couple Says Moore Saved Home

  • God, man!! Do you know any firemen buddies that could hook you up? I couldn't watch too long either.. this was worse than Saw or Hostel because it's real!!

  • I will admit to having to stop watching after a certain point, because it was just heartbreaking. My mom suffered these for many years, and what people who don't know don't understand is that you can not drug out of them, you can not sleep through them, oxygen can be used to aid but like your situation, most insurance companies will not cover that for anything other than a respiratory condition. It's sad, and my heart goes out to you.

  • Thanks for your warm comments... does your mom still suffer from CH?

    with warm regards,

    Tony

  • Everyone: I just wrote a letter to my congressman, urging him to improve our health system, and I haven't lived in the US for 4 years (though still a US citizen). If I can do something, so can you. If you walk out of Sicko hoping that you'll get better health care, but then do nothing, then you will have wasted the momentum created by this film. We must act now if we want change!

  • I have not written to my congressman. I think more needs to be done other than writing to congressmen. This issue is too important to be entrusted to politics as usual. This is something that has to be monitored by a group of citizens elected by their peers to oversee the implementation so that it is not botched or watered down politically or corporately.

  • Does Demerol help? Dilaudid? Morphine?

  • I have seen people in worse pain. Not to belittle it. Worse thing I saw was a man drowning in his own secretions from pulmonary edema. Took a few hours.

  • What meds are you on? How will a universal health care insurance help you? Can your doctor ask for oximetry testing or a sleep apnea test? So, that you could get the oxygen that you need? If your O2 sats are low enough, you can get oxygen based on something other than the cluster headaches.

  • I have been prescribed, verapamil, depakote and also Imitrex... I do not have a tolerance for any of them. I bought a welders grade M tank for my oxygen... out of pocket expense was around $286.00 and $26.44 to have it filled with o2.. I am on disability and make around $700 a month. Life is peachy.

  • I think it's absolutely horrible how you suffer from these cluster headaches... I just can't believe how your insurance company and other health care professionals you have come in contact with don't recognize that this seriously affects your well-being and basic ability to function. So sorry and I hope that something will come of this video and it getting put out on YouTube for anyone to see.

  • you're incredible, man. I can't believe the insurance companies can just snuff you out like a spent cigarette. Glaucoma sufferers can get medical marijuana, and yet you can't get oxygen, the most legal and vital thing on the planet? Inhumane.

  • According to insurance companies, a patient has to qualify for oxygen through O2 saturation values. Oxygen is expensive in the home. If he can prove that he has sleep apnea or low O2 sats at night, he could get the oxygen.

  • I have resorted to buying a welders tank fitted with a special regulator... I use an M sized tank and a regulator that issues 15 lpm along with a non-rebreather Clustermasx. If I would have waited for the insurance company and my doctors to do anything about o2 I'd be waiting a long time.

    with warm regards,

    Artonio

  • Hopefuly some kind of new medicine will come out that can help this condition. TIME magazine just put put a story talking about how there is new research coming out that could lead to major advancements in the treatment of pain. As much as I don't trust big pharma, lets still have hope. Does Imitrex help artonio. God bless. I wish I had a magic wand.

  • Sadly I get rebound headaches from Imitrex so I do not use it. I am now using oxygen at 15 lpm through a non-rebreather mask.. it helps to abort some of the ch but not all of them.

  • In order to make it go by a little bit better. My lord. This made me cry.

  • Lord Jesus. I would give you a hug and oxygen.

  • I have severe oain now for 20 years. from a broken neck in an auto accident. I have tried to have something done for 20 years. It just gets worse everyday. I am plenty or powerful pain killers just to fuction. I think of suidide everyday. Yet they can fix my probelem and possibly his, BUT THEY ALAWAYS HAVE AN EXCUSE WHY THEY WONT!. I have heard them all. Good luck to you. I hope you get help somehow. Your not alone.

  • My most sincere empathy goes out to you. I could not watch more than two minutes of the agony, as I have been cluster's victim for over 30 years. Because I am a woman, the label of cluster doesn't stick - but the years of excrutiating pain and agony remains. I lost my marriage, my home, respect, and gainful employement to these monsters. I'm currently enjoying a one year remission. My sympathies.

  • rightgonewrong,

I'm so sorry to know of all of your agony. 30 years of this nightmare is like an eternity of eternities. Gratefully you are in remission now and I hope you remain that way. There is a wonderful community online where there is much love and support from other clusterheads. Go to clusterheadaches-us dot org... There are many people there who understand only as another clusterhead can.

I wish you pain free days and nights.

    with warm regards,

    Artonio

  • My god how awful! And this is prevented by something as simple as oxygen? This totally confirms that insurance companies are truly evil.

You shouldn't be going through this hell. I hope you get the treatment you deserve soon.

  • what the shit is this??? Crazy cinematic intro into a man moaning or 8 min?? wow, i wonder if its as painful to watch that into as it is your headaches, but if this is real then i am sorry, and i hope you get better soon..

    /heal !!!!

  • Thefinalfall, its real allright, ive suffered for more than thirty years and it makes ones life hell!

  • this is horrible man im sorry

  • it truely is....i am a chronic sufferer as well. Its the worst pain imaginable. I read suicide rate is 70%....please seek help if you come to that point....
