I'm trying it on expert...all I can say is...play some other game haha. I know other people are like "It's easy I can play it blah blah blah", but I always get raped on Mosh 1 and if I'm lucky enough to get past it, the end solo fails me. Its much harder than One.

I'm at the point where I'm questioning if its even worth it. It's gone from being fun, to just plain frustrating, and even if I do get past Raining Blood, Lou will annihilate me.

I did some improvement, and I´m done with Hard. I´m stuck in Japan, expert, and everything is just like you said! It stops being fun and starts to get frustrating. I´m wondering if it´s worth it, too. Also, this game costs so fucking much for just... nothing. Also, for PC, the requirements of the game are completly stupid. There was absolutely no need for all that just for a simple game like GH3.

The exactly the same for me. I most have a record of 300 tries on Raining Blood and still only got past the Mosh 1 three times and two right after it. Once i got to the solo but i was bad ass back then so i lost. Now i can beat that solo if i will ever get there becouse the Mosh 1 keeps killing me. And yes,the game is suck ass now. Well, atleast you can cheat on Lou XD

Umm, if you don't know the answer then don't make stuff up trying to answer it. When he's talking about 7 stars in GH, it's based a formula that Scorehero developed that extends the star rating to 6, 7, and even 8 stars (9 stars haven't been achieved in single player yet). JPrez is currently the only one to ever get 7 stars on this song.

In RB, some people use "6 stars" in place of "gold stars," but 7 stars don't exist. Go check out Scorehero if you want to know how the stars are calculated.

It's all based on the "base score." You can find the base score for any song by imagining you hit every note in the song and getting all the points from the long notes (sustains) but everything is hit with a 1x multiplier. So each single note would be 50 points, two note chords are 100, and three-note chords are 150, and you wouldn't let go of any sustains early. You then take this "base score" and multiply it by the following values to figure out various star ratings.

Yep, you can definitely do that. You'll then have less than the three-star score, but the game recoginzes 3* as the least number of stars you can get. On scorehero(dot)com though, it will show you with only two stars or even one star (see Trogdor easy).

Everything above the 5-star cutoff is not really a part of the game, just something developed by scorehero(dot)com to give the better something else to work for (getting five stars on a song isn't really an achievement for most top players, but getting 7 or 8 stars on certain songs can be difficult).

The cutoffs are different for GH1 than the other games because the 4 and 5 star cutoffs are different, so the extended star rating must be different as well.
