  • As for this song, the Elvis one is 10/10 flawless imo but so is Led Zeppelin's. They didn't try to do it like Elvis, they did it their way and that's why I think I like it unlike most other Elvis songs performed by another artist or those good for nothing impersonators. The drumming is fantastic and so are the vocals. I wish they would've done more Elvis songs live that Elvis didn't do himself live. Like Mean Woman Blues, Zeppelin could've killed that.

  • All these Elvis haters make me sick. Elvis was the first to mix rhythm & blues, country, and pop all together and make songs like Heartbreak Hotel. Heartbreak Hotel was an original and his versions of That's All Right and all those early Sun songs are what influenced Zep, Beatles and Stones and a lot of great bands so that's why he's the king of rock. Elvis didn't want the title, he once said Fats Domino was the real king so you idiots need to get your facts straight before putting down my boy.

  • rock and roll was well underway before elvis. elvis wasnt even a musician he was a little girls heart throb so the boys would spend their money to take them to see him. and buy his records he was promoted for cash period.check out an elvis tribute show [fat old women bringing teddy bears] no little boys there anymore. king of rock title could go to a couple of people but not elvis

  • Great stuff. Cool version and video. I wasn't aware that Led Zeppelin loved Elvis this much.

  • Elvis unoriginal? He created the whole genre of rock-Christ!

  • @jeper1969 actually that would be chuck barry yo

  • @thestainisgone485 actually it's Chuck Berry and they both recorded their first rock and roll album in 1955- so they both started the genre/along with others in fusing country with sped up blues-

  • Hail Hail dearest Led Zeppelin! You made my life to live!

  • i created my channel to get bands noticed....theres really some great talent on there so check it out....and please subscribe

  • nice bluesy!

  • Prefer this to elvis presley's version, just coz its got that edge to it, but its not neccessarily better or worse like Hagfan789 stated. Just about different flavour of sound

  • First hear this on the BBC Sessions album, and I loved it.

  • Not in tune. Sorry.

  • @ch3rrysunbur5t ooooooh i got u my bad

  • @ch3rrysunbur5t actually u heard white stripes songs that remind u of zeppelin, zeppelin was out first so just by logic

  • Oh, Hell Yah!!!

  • Is Minnesota Blues.

  • Page's raunchy guitar MAKES this!

  • Crap !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • what's the name of this bootleg? this isn't in BBC session right ?

  • @zzy66613 it is

  • @TasOMW but i can't find Mess of blues in my BBC session album....

  • @zzy66613 It is not "officially" one of the songs but it is on the whole lotta love medley (its the 13 minute one)

  • @TasOMW ah....yes youre right! i don't realize.....

  • @zzy66613 ... It in a medley with Whole Lotta Love

  • All you zeppelin fans check out The Black keys , Your all gonna anyways in the years to come. Bluesy new group fucking rocking so hard they sell out before I can get tickets in SD twice and La. Ahhh >;O -_- ://// Shread the blues!

  • @AngrypunkNaysayer yeah they're a great band, love their new album "Brothers"

  • this is recorded live as a medley on the second disc of bbc sessions

  • wow, i love led zeppelin

  • I love Elvis' version, and I never heard this before, love it! great version!

  • Elvis was friends with Plant and liked Zeppelin I guess he would be happy they covered his song

  • in case anyone's wondering this is from the BBC Sessions album, and from the jam/performance of "Whole Lotta Love (Medley)", they also covered another one of Elvis' songs, "That's Alright Mama" in the same jam =)

  • No offense to Elvis, but this version is so much better. I really feel it

  • @lilvjdude No way! I love Led Zepplin but I just CANT get into this version. There is another version by Jeff Healey that's amazing though.

  • im sorry to say this elvis fans, but its my opinion so bite me.

    Zeppelin kicks this song's ASS!!!

  • I think this is a great song in the Key of C, but I perfer Elvis' version

  • love them playing blues, the most sensual way!!!

  • A mí me gusta más la versión de Status Quo. Esta versión es buena pero, me gusta más con los Quo.

  • love love love this version!!! this record belongs to bbc sessions album... it was an awesome medley starting and ending with whole lotta love....terrific!

  • i thought i had the discography but obviously i dont have every song.. thanks for these uploads

  • led zepellin is a legend

  • I vote for the version made by Status Quo.

  • @Helmer2 who is Status Quo???? seriously I've never heard of them...

  • @jedijenkeez45 And they have never heard of you!

  • That's alright, Led Zeppelin is the greatest band ever... Status Quo, not sooo much... and yes i did actually listen to their version... did nothing for me...

  • They are the greatest band ever in your opinion. Led Zep are a great band, as for being the greatest well I'll reserve judgement on that, there are at least several other bands that I would rate above them, but they were and a say were, a fine band. Whereas Quo are still a fine band, don't take themselves too seriously and are capable of stunning live performances and have had more hits than any other British band.

  • Very nice, one of the lesser known songs of the King,

Well done. You have to learn and appreciate the sound of Led

Singin a mass of the blues. I had to play it a few times, Elvis is Elvis

    and Led isLed.

  • esto es destrozar la cancion. inaceptable.

  • You can't compare Zep to Elvis...just can't do it. It's like comparing regular cut bacon to thick sliced bacon....they are both great AND superior,,, YET equal.

    I love all four.. lol

  • i think they are both great, elvis sings like a bird,so does robert:)

  • @Hagfan789 Actually Plant was a HUGE Elvis fan and was one of the people he looked up to in the industry

  • @Hagfan789 - Isn't it thick sliced bacon what killed Elvis?

  • @skinnybuddhaboy I love Elvis but that was funny!

  • @Hagfan789 lol.

  • @Hagfan789 Fuck that. Elvis was so idioticly unoriginal. The Led will always reign surpreme over that blubbering jackass.

  • @TheLaughingMan69 elvis was plants hero..i wont go into insults...enough said.

  • Robert's voice is like Elvis' times 100

  • Robert Plant was a huge Elvis fan

  • They are much better than my band.I'll be damned.

  • It's alright man, there are many who can't reach Zeppelin's substantual sound. It almost takes a miracle. :/

  • nobody can, Its a fact of life

  • @0008brown8000 he's a damn good singer! He admitted that learned quite alot from listening to Elvis records! we learned from each other that's what I important! Nobody is greater or better thananybody everybody is special in their very own and unique style! Led was a huge fan of Elvis they were in awe of the guy, and Elvis's step-brother rick stanley i think was huge fan of ZED! Zed is a great band!! I luv Led pure music all the way man just music!!!

  • kinda ironic

  • Aw don't put yourself down! I'm sure you are just as good!

  • Led Zeppelin beats Elvis so fucking bad.

  • great video.... could u send me the picture plz?? =]

  • The baddest version of this song ever!

  • Molto bello. Bravo jamespatrick.
