Peacekeeping is only observing and providing security and is hardly what you call real combat experience. Over the past century NZ has served in WW 1, WW 2, Korea, Malaya, Borneo, Vietnam, and are currently serving in Afghanistan. Where was Ireland in WW 2? NZ came from the oposite side of the world to fight in Europe and also fought against the Japanese.

Never underestimate the NZ Army. Small doesn't mean they are not capable. NZ also contribute their infantry battalion to my country during 1st Communist Insurgency back in 1948 . During the 2nd Insurgency the NZSAS trained our police special ops unit

I was one of the fortunate ones to be placed in command of Baa Squadron, which is basically the infantry division. Not that i expected ewe to know.
shit when i joined up in 97 i only got 21 grand as a private working as a storeman, good to see after 13 years a private can now make 40 grand, mind you nothing beats been a storeman over here in the mines in australia working and making $140,000 nz dollars, at least you dont get shot at!

Australia is close to acquiring 2 brand new Aircraft Carriers, with 1 more on its way, which can hold the F-35 JSF, which we have ordered just over 100. So if NZ ever got into shit and required aircraft, Australia would be their in a heartbeat. Plus NZ wouldnt even need Australia to back them up, those guys are the epitome of brutal. I was one of the fortunate ones to be placed in command of Baa Squadron, which is basically the infantry division. Not that i expected ewe to know.
