I think every army should have 2 basic military assault rifels.one that is compatable to go from 1shoot to burst 2 full auto.for full war and large patroles and a gun like the m16 for a group of 5.u need a u need a different gun for different situations in war.

the captain is absolutely right, G3 is used to kill the enemy,its so powerful and got a very long range,my brother in law is in the air force he took me to a firing range and i used it,the old G3 with wood around it is really heavy,but the new 1 is fine not that heavy,also a lot of officers told me that in close combat AK47 is really good,u can move freely with it.

the fact of the matter is that no matter what weapon you use if your go fully-auto you won't get the accuracy your get if you go semi-auto so i bet pak army soldiers are pretty accurate aim which is all that count's

Humm Army need more money to update this basic weapon, i know Pakistan is manufacturing these guns, but we should look for the new technoligies and update our Miltary, i dont want them to have any hinderance. Im sure Military will be looking for something to replace this old stuff. sweden or Germany can be good place to buy the transfer of technoligy.

there are more than 1000000 G3's officially in service with Pakistan army and para military. What do you guys think they can replace such a big amount.

If America give us license of M4 then we will happily change our standard assault rifle. But Changing a gun in these economic situation is a BAD idea. G3 might have drawbacks but Pakistan have a huge amount of it and so it cant be replaced so easily.
