The man who got things started. If anyone is interested, by the way, I have recently created a doctor who website, containing quite a bit of information on hartnell. If one of you wants to take a look, it's at sci-fireflections.weebly.com.
It was never really explain in the classic series, but the Doctor was a Professor at a Timelord College and he got feed up with his job and left and stolen a type 40 Tardis and left with his Granddaughter Susan.
The Master also work at the same College and the real backstory to the Master and the Doctor was that they both were dating the same women and the Doctor won her heart and the Master become bitter over it and this happen years before even both of them left Gallifrey.
@WarshipAngelus Where is this info from? Is it one of the books etc. There is reference in the series that he failed some of his eaxms so I don't see how he could have been a professor.
Yes not as many as Troughton's though, you should check some of the Loose Cannon reconstructions,I just watched The Daleks Masterplan, very well done, great story.
I think what they should do with the missing episodes and stories is to do what they had with Patrick Troughton's The Invasion, and make them into animations. At first it threw me, but I ended up liking it. There have been some tacky reconstructions, and I personally think 2D animation is the way.
I haven't watched Dr Who for many years although I loved the first few seasons.
Modern episodes are like watching moron fodder such as Eastenders.
Personally I don't think Dr Who should have a Salford accent.
The whole thing has become typical modern PC rubbish.
