Yes need a glide switcher----on the Creative labs Banshee drivers disk. Play the same game with a 3dfx Bansbee card or switch it over to Voodoo 2 Sli setup. I run the Voodoo 2 Sli more offen I get more power. Banshee carps out at 1024x640 res. on some games.
Remember picking up two Diamond Voodoo II cards for SLI mode in Need for Speed - Hot Pursuit ... made a huge difference in the graphics ... still impressed at how much it changed the appearance of the game!

It's just a matter of time until I'll fabricate the floppy connector (didn't find an original one anywhere) 'cause I'm looking forward for the SLi result (momentarily I work with PCI VooDoo 3 2000). If I manage to pull it out in time, I'll hit you with some feedback.

Can't do it. Even at lowest settings Crysis requires a DX9 capable card. Voodoo2's were only DX6 on the release drivers but you could run DX7 games with special drivers that came later. The textures used in Crysis are also way too large to fit in the framebuffer of these cards.

You really need a faster CPU with an SLI setup. A PIII-700 class CPU is about fast enough to feed a single Voodoo 2 with enough data so it doesn't have to keep waiting. A pair in SLI would need around a 1ghz CPU to keep them both fed adequately. It's amazing how these things scale. The recommended CPU when they were first released was a Pentium 90 and they just kept getting faster up until around the Coppermine/Tualatin PIII's came out.
oh and another thing, lol just worked out, is when im on the desktop on my pc, the voodoo 2 chips are warmish to cool, but in 3d games they run hot to the touch.......owch my fingers and yipee! it works! lol
The Fastvoodoo driver s good, but have some bugs for SLI, i used the old driver for WIN98, in XP run good too, i don't know what happen with your config, try other driver. Only when games run in 1024, the SLI is OK...

nah, dont have that game, though i've ran penumbra episode one on it, unreal tournament on it, and it wont make a resolution over 800 x 600, it will just reset itself to 534 x summat, oh and serious sam, the first encounter, they say if it resets its resolution on anything over 800 x 600 then its working. on the sli mode its 1024 x 9summat
Do you have two voodoo2 in sli mode? I put togather a Win XP gaming reg and I down loaded the fastvoodoo2 gold drivers----A++ works great. But its show in the voodoo video panel sli not detected can't get the other card to work so top res is 800x640---one card working, do you have the same problem?

I'm using a voodoo Banshee because of the 1-2x agp slot on mobo. Are you running Win XP with your voodoo 2s? You will need some type of program too shut off or on the Radeon video card if you play the games in 3d--dx. Like Test dr 5 there is two exe icons one for voodoo 2--glide and the main one for 3d--the game will pick the radeon or voodoo 2 3d-- not glide modo.
ahh i remember this it was my first graphics card i used to play quake 2 and unreal tournament with it.

Can't be done. At it's lowest settings Crysis requires a DX9 video card. The Voodoo2 is only DX5.

I mounted a 3.5 fan sideways to cool my voodoo 2s--- getting air flow between the two cards.

I know Test drive 5 works on Win XP do you have that game? if so try playing the game in 3d and then voodoo 2 glide.
