You guys are obviously pleased about what you are doing there … and you should be. Very nice! I do have just one question for you (or for any “square foot” gardener); Just why all the white strips every foot or so? Just ask yourself, “Would my plants grow better, worse, or just the same without those white strips?” I have never had the need to put white strips of material between any of my plants to grow them good. Lots of folks do it and I still scratch my head as to why.

@ThatsOneWay ...supposedly, it's to keep everything neat and orderly. Ensuring that you are able to plant as much as you can in such limited space.
