  • LOL fartisking and Hoffenheim Parche the two biggest losers on youtube in another of their whiny back and forth crybaby arguments.

  • strange things going on here... spooky!!!

  • Pretty amazing that Martina was able to pull this match off considering she had not won a tournament up until this point in '87 and Graf had not yet lost a match that year. Her confidence had to have been shakey coming in. And after not being able to convert on 6 set points she had to have been in serious doubt. That topspin backhand pass on set point gave her what she needed to drive through the second set. Always very much a confidence player - and the best at that!

  • @thequinnster72 this was only about Graf's 4th ever tournament on grass. She was still a bit clueless on the surface and she hadnt even been past the round of 16 at Wimbledon yet until this year (and nearly lost in the round of 16 again this year). Watching her compared to the next year it is like night and day. It was no surprise Martina won over a green Steffi here. It was a much bigger surprise when she easily beat Graf in the U.S Open final later that year.

  • Martina the best ever player

  • Martina was just too consistent that day. Steffi still had some rough edges to her game

  • @zephyruk

One year later Navratilova lost 7 straight service games against Steffi at the end of the match ...

  • @Hoffenheim08

And yet Steffi could not beat Martina in straights at Wimby, being 13 years younger. And of course, Graf lost in the fist round of Wimby in 1994, the first time in history that a defending champion lost in the fist round of a GS.

And Martina of course has the superior record on Grass.

    Remarkable.

  • @artisking

And yet Seles could not beat Graf in almost 70 % of her matches, being 4,5 years younger.

  • @Hoffenheim08

Seles, at 16, had a 2-3 record vs Steffi in their first five matches.

In contrast, at 16, Graf had a 0-6 record vs Chris (16 years older than Steffi) and a 1-5 record vs Martina (13 years older than Steffi....)

Monica had a better record vs Steffi, earlier on, than Graf had against Chris and Martina. Seles also won 3-4 GS Finals vs Graf, broke Graf's match win streak, took away her number one....

Case Closed. Sorry, Hoffie. Facts are facts.

  • @artisking

    BS.

Steffi recorded her first win against Evert at age 16.

BTW, she never received spankings at the hand of Evert/Navi comparable to those young Seles suffered against Evert and Graf.

Seles became #1 because Evert was retired, Navi was too old and Steffi slumped badly. Had Hingis been in Seles place in 1990-92 she would have got to #1 as well. Seles became #1 virtually by default.

  • @Hoffenheim08

LETS HUMILIATE HOFFIE, one more time.....lets FACT CHECK.

Graf "never received spankings" from Evert/Nav......

    BULLSHIT. Evert beat Graf 6-2, 6-1, 6-4, 6-2, 6-2, 6-1...etc etc etc. Graf lost to Martina 6-2, 6-3-6-3, 6-1, 6-2 6-2......

Why do you LIE SO MUCH?

You are doing Graf DAMAGE by writing these lies, because when i correct you, it makes Graf LOOK BAD.

    Better for me, and Seles.....LOL

  • @artisking

15-year-old Seles lost to Graf 0-6 1-6 in Wimbledon.

    15-year-old Seles lost to 34-year-old (!) Evert 06- 2-6 at the USO.

Young Steffi never suffered such embarassing spankings.

    Only one game in Wimbledon!

Only two games against a 34-year-old grandma at the USO.

    LOL!!!!

  • @Hoffenheim08 DID GRAF LOSE TO EVERT BY THE SCORES: 6-2, 6-1, 6-2,6-1, 6-4, 6-2 Did Graf LOSE TO MARTINA: 6-2, 6-3, 6-3 6-1 6-2 6-2 Doid Amanda Coetzer KILL Steffi Graf 6-0, 6-1......in BERLIN? DID Sanchez Vicario beat Graf in 1991 6-2, 6-0 at the French Open? YES OR NO......Answer the question, whimp. And NO MORE LIES, PLease.....
  • @artisking

I remember how Hingis blitzed Seles 6-0 6-0. Worst loss ever for a former #1 player.

And that Seles still holds the world record for the worst loss a current #1 player ever suffered in a slam final (2-6 1-6 against Steffi at 92 Wimbledon).

And that Seles suffered a 0-6 1-6 loss against Steffi at 89 Wimbledon, worst loss ever of a multiple-slam winner in a slam.

Boy, Seles holds a lot of records.

  • @Hoffenheim08

    MORE LIES....lets correct you.

First, the hingis loss isn't the "worst loss by a former number one". Sharapova was number one and lost 6-0, 6-0 to Lindsay...get your facts straight.

Second, Graf holds the dubious record of LOSING IN THE FiRST ROUND OF WIMBLEDON, as defending champion and world number one. This is alot worse than Monica losing the final

At 15, Seles lost to Graf 60, 6-1. But Seles was NOT a "multiple slam winner". She was 15, in her first year on the tour.

  • @artisking

Which loss of a former #1 was worse than Seles's loss to Hingis, you idiot?

    There is no worse one!

So of course Seles's is the worst one. You are wrong - as always.

In 1989 Seles was in her second year on the tour. You were wrong again.

  • @Hoffenheim08

The "worst loss in Grand Slam History" belongs to Steffi Graf."

In 1994, Graf lost in the first round of Wimbledon, in straight sets, as defending champion and #1 seed.

THE WORST LOSS IN GRAND SLAM HISTORY.

    YES or NO?

  • @artisking

    No, of course not.

McNeil was one of the 10 best grass-courters at that time.

    Steffi lost a close match.

In no way comparable to the humiliating thrashings Seles suffered in slams.

And in now way comparable to a 0-6 0-6.

  • @Hoffenheim08

IT WAS THE WORST LOSS IN GRAND SLAM HISTORY.

Only one player in the HISTORY of Grand Slams has lost in the first round being number one and defending champion, and her name is:

    Steffi Graf.

    Sorry, facts are facts.......

  • @artisking

Oh, so for example Capriati - winner of AO 02 - didn't lose to Marlene Weingärtner in the first round of AO 03 in your parallel universe ... ?

    Idiot.

  • @Hoffenheim08

Sorry Sissy, but Capriati wasn't #1 seed...nice try though.....

Let me repeat for Hoffie's humiliation:

IT WAS THE WORST LOSS IN GRAND SLAM HISTORY.

Only one player in the HISTORY of Grand Slams has lost in the first round being number one and defending champion, and her name is:

    Steffi Graf.

  • @artisking

That was Steffi's problem - she was defending champion SOOO often.

So it was bound to happen some day.

The more slams you win the higher the possibility to lose in the first round the next time.

Players like Sanchez, Seles, Davenport, Venus, Henin - 2nd-tier greats with less than 10 slams - didn't run the same risk as Steffi had to.

  • Comment removed

  • @Hoffenheim08

Yes, Graf had many problems, but one major one was:

STEFFI GRAF HAD THE WORST LOSS IN GRAND SLAM HISTORY.

Only one player in the HISTORY of Grand Slams has lost in the first round being number one and defending champion, and her name is:

    Steffi Graf.

    LOL...........

  • @artisking

Better to lose in one slam in the first round but win 22 slams than to lose your only Wimbledon final with 2-6 1-6 and win only 9 slams.

But to each their own ...

  • @Hoffenheim08

"better to lose......"....blah, blah blah, Hoffie.......

    Fact is...

...STEFFI GRAF HAD THE WORST LOSS IN GRAND SLAM HISTORY.

    Sorry, facts are a bitch.

  • @artisking

How many tennis fans do you think agree with you?

    More than the 0.001 %?

  • @Hoffenheim08

YAWN......that was boring, even for you. Obviously you are losing steam......humiliated again......

...I hope you aren't going to cry.

  • @artisking

    "Humiliated"?

You mean like Steffi was "humiliated" by Seles in the 1992 Wimbledon final?

Well, Selespeak is one funny language ...

  • @Hoffenheim08

    BOOOHOOO......Hoffie wet his pants....LOL....

Hey, I've got an idea for you.

Why not start Posting as your other screen name, McClernard?

It is so much fun watching you TALK TO YOURSELF!

I would almost feel bad for you right now if i wasn't laughing so hard.....

  • @artisking

    "BOOOHOOOO"? "Wetting ones pants"?

Is this what Selestards do when they whine about how Seles woulda-coulda-shoulda have become "the greatest ever"? When they try to milk a minor stabbing?

Grafans don't have to whine. THEIR fave is a winner in tennis and in life ...

  • @Hoffenheim08

    Look at Hoffie everybody.....

....STILL WHINING like a little baby......hey, can you talk to yourself again with your other screen name?.....

I really enjoy that. Crazy with a Capital C.......

    ....LOL

  • @Hoffenheim08 - "minor" stabbing? If you truly believe that you're an imbecile...

  • @Hoffenheim08

I thought Steffi humiliated Seles. Do you think Steffi was humiliated for Seles? LOL.
