  • Dam i need that in my life !!

  • Hi My friend

Does the Image Stabilizer works while you record video or only in camera mode your answer will help thanks

  • you have to have a lens that has IS. the camera does not have IS built in. so if you are using a lens with IS there is a switch to turn it on or off.

  • hi just watched your vid - its nice can you tell me - ive tried to make hd but it just jumps - plays back on the camera ok but when iget it onlibe or on vimeow or youtube or my editing software its jittery - any specific settings - i use a fast cf card but that didnt help ???

  • it maybe because your computer can not handle 1080p capabilities. an upgrade on your video card and processing might help alot.

  • wish I could afford one... I'm getting the T1i instead....

  • i wish i got the 7d..and later upgrade to the 5d Mk. II.hehe..

  • Even with the notes the videophiles put out, it is still awesome quality, can't wait till I get mine.

  • Hello! Nice shoot! What kind of lence did You use in this test?

  • Canon EFS 18-200mm

  • is the kit lens an good? Do you really need a ' L' series lens for good shots?

  • the kit lens is good for general purpose use, and great to learn with. L lenses are the best but are very expensive. Right now I only have the EFS 18-200mm f/3.5-f5.6. I plan to get the EF 50mm f/1.8, EF 24mm f/2.8 and EF 35mm f/2. So the answer is no, you don't have to have L lenses.

  • for most consumers 18-200's quality is good enough. But for pros they might want to get L glass not only for the image quality but also for the build. L glass operation and build is just so much better. Personally I would invest in L glass if I can. I am a bit crazy on image quality so I tend to lean towards L glass.

  • @sct911 You don't L series, you need Prime lens. All zoom lens has a blur to the image. If you want sharpness go for prime.

  • @sct911 You want the absolute best image quality? Yes, you will need high-grade lenses like the L-series. That being said, you can't just throw an L lens on a 300D Rebel and expect phenominal results either.

Do you NEED L lenses to take good pictures? No. There are plenty of very good quality lenses that can come nipping at the heels of L-series lenses.

  • Sweet--right out of the box. Thanks for uploading the test video. I never thought I would be considering a camera to double as my next camcorder.

  • so overexposed ;(

  • Those whites are blown like crazy. Either your exposures were off or the 7D has a lot less dynamic range than the 5D.

  • The exposure is off, my falt not the cameras. But it is just a test video, it was my first try filming with a DSLR in manual mode.

  • graded?

  • No color correction done.

  • Thanks for the video. I guess the overcast sky didn't help.

  • Forgot to ask... do you remember the shutter speed?

  • 1/250

  • I hope mine arrives in Kingston tomr!!

  • Good luck, you're going to love it.

  • What was the lens used?

  • EFS 18-200mm IS

  • Is that the internal mic?

  • yes it is the internal mic
