Michelle Rodriguez is Back because of the T- Virus. If your a real RE fan then you would have played the original games back in the 1970"s. Originally the T- Virus had chemicals that mutate you back to human. This movie is based on the original game. I know because I've played part of it and for all you people crying about characters Alice and Leon aren't the main characters so shut the hell up about it.

Although alice may never have been a character in the games she is based the spirit behind the characters. And to be honest i prefer her story to that of the games, it gives a more unifying feel to the whole series. when i played through the games i had to rely on flashbacks to tell me how it was all connected. in the movies alice IS the connection.

Some people are simply in denial, these movies are pure mindless garbage. Just look at RE: Degeneration (which should have been a theater release BTW). It was a standalone movie, the plot made perfect sense, and had more emotion and realism as a CGI movie. However it's live action counterpart is simply horrible in terms of story, but excels in action (even though that's what hollywood is known for).
