  • Their voices blend perfectly. Always felt that Dianne Lee never got the credit she deserved. She brings a nice, gentle touch that is very easy on the ear. And, of course, Lennie Peters had a great voice. The perfect blend.

  • The German words sung by Elfie Graf are quite different. Herzen haben keine Fenster(Hearts have no windows only a key etc)

  • Thankyou brings back happy memorys of time spent in my youth with my Auntie

Jean, i still miss her after all these years.

    great song.

  • I remember when this came out in 74, Love It !! thanks for this post

    Terry

  • for my dad.......never get over it reminds me....died when i was 5

  • I REMEMBER THIS!!! GOOD GOD.. WHAT HARMONY THEY HAD.. 10 STAR AGAIN..

  • great memories and they sing beautifully and in tune

  • I prefer the English version because of the piano, clear beat and the duet. The male voice makes it more distinct. Very nice arrangement!

  • Thank you for this old classic... needed to find any version after Momma came to me this moring in my dreamscape/planseape region.. to tell me, " Baby?.. I'm leavin' the planet.. " D Cries and hugs...as We all on the bus Home.. sing this song!!! * Thank you.. Bless you... We will All.. miss her.. but life is a circle.. as is existance.. and all.. We Mean ALL.. repeats itself... endlessly..

    Namaste...

    Dre.

  • ELFI GRAF-BOBBY VINTON-PETERS AND LEE

Three all time great Singers who recorded this

Classic Work Of Pure ART song. Elfi was original.

  • Good song. Bring backs great memories of the sensational seventies!!

  • why are there so little visuals other than pix of this great act?

  • This version predates Bobby Vinton's "My Melody Of Love" cover.

  • ah what a lovely song.......lovely words

  • indeed a nice version, but the original is from the female Austrian singer Elfi Graf, "Herzen haben keine Fenster" (=Hearts have no windows) from '73, a smash hit in those years, played over and over again in German, Austrian, Swiss and South Tyrolian radio station. Memories come back, I find the original sounds more fluid and sweeter in german, just compare yourself. It's available also here on youtube.

  • I'm guessing, however that this version is perhaps a direct translation of the German original, while Bobby Vinton's lyrics were his own
