Israel doesn't drop munitions on school children. They don't send missions out specifically to attack schoolchildren or schools but when fighting an enemy that operates right next to a school, it is inevitable that the school will be hit. The alternative is do nothing, let them obtain more weapons and let them think they are safe as long as they attack from populated areas.

I never quite understood this argument. Why do you complain that the US sells weapons to Israel and not to the Palestinian leaders when the latter have consistently stated their aim of destroying Israel. Israel's stated aim is to destroy weapons and fighters who aim to destroy her and who attack her. I would hope you can see the difference between Hamas/PLO (perhaps not so much today) and Israel.
The Palestinians don't get near the aid Israel does. I googled several sources and I cannot find one that shows Palestinians getting more aid than Israel. And to create an objective comparison one has to combine military and economic aid and perhaps even the oil prices we've had to pay as a result of blind spinless congressional support for Israel.
If I remember correctly Palestine gets $1bn from the US in general aid whilst Israel gets around $2.5bn in purely military aid, 75% of which is spent in the US. Palestine also gets aid from other countries so they must get more aid in total which makes sense.
The trouble is that Palestinian aid is more complicated as efforts have to be made so it doesn't fall into the hands of terrorists. Israel's aid continues as it's a liberal minded Western democracy with strong trade links to the US.
The US doesn't give Palestinians any governmental money. The money comes from concerned people. And this aid (food and necessities etc), doesn't even get through to the Palestinians as the Israelis feel the need to blockade Palestine from an

Israel doesn't drop munitions on school children. They don't send missions out specifically to attack schoolchildren or schools but when fighting an enemy that operates right next to a school, it is inevitable that the school will be hit. The alternative is do nothing, let them obtain more weapons and let them think they are safe as long as they attack from populated areas.

I've never heard Jews or Israelis say this. What they sometimes say is 'never again'. By that they mean that any threat will be taken seriously. Arab states and Hamas want to destroy Israel? Israel takes it seriously. Does it not concern you that the argument you put in Jewish mouths is really a red herring? The argument you are using is that a people who have been persecuted have no right to ensure they are never persecuted again by those who would have it that way.

The alternative to this conflict was for Israel to do nothing. To let Hamas ride out a short semi-ceasefire and smuggle, accumulate more and better rockets and then attack in stronger force.
The alternative to retaliation and inevitable civilian casualties is DOING NOTHING. Is this what you claim Israel is obliged to do? At what point can they attack? You are using emotive arguments. There will be casualties in war, I'm claiming that for what this war was, they were relatively low!

Thats not at all what I'm saying. Israel has the right to retaliate just like Hamas or any other government has the right to retaliate. if Hamas had safisticated military capapbilities they would be attacking IDF and it would be just as legit as israel bombardment of military sites.

The only way Israel and Palestine will have peace is through compromise, which neither wants to commit to. They need to divide the land equally for both parties and they also need to make Jerusalem an international city, neutral for all to enjoy equally. Israel also needs to stop it's aggression and hostilities towards others, and both sides need to quit bickering and grow up for once. The US needs to tell them both to just take it like a man and get it over with.

Trouble is that Israel has worked for years to be in a position of strength. They've made security a priority in the face of aggression and threats. They won't give this up easily unless confident it won't lead to long or short term danger for Israelis. The world sees Palestinians suffering and assumes it is Israel's task to force them to accept a partition. Compare that to hundred's of Israeli airstrikes.

Why do you complain that the US sells weapons to Israel and not to the Palestinian leaders when the latter have consistently stated their aim of destroying Israel. Israel's stated aim is to destroy weapons and fighters who aim to destroy her and who attack her. I would hope you can see the difference between Hamas/PLO (perhaps not so much today) and Israel.

The Palestinians don't get near the aid Israel does. I googled several sources and I cannot find one that shows Palestinians getting more aid than Israel. And to create an objective comparison one has to combine military and economic aid and perhaps even the oil prices we've had to pay as a result of blind spinless congressional support for Israel.

If I remember correctly Palestine gets $1bn from the US in general aid whilst Israel gets around $2.5bn in purely military aid, 75% of which is spent in the US. Palestine also gets aid from other countries so they must get more aid in total which makes sense.
The trouble is that Palestinian aid is more complicated as efforts have to be made so it doesn't fall into the hands of terrorists. Israel's aid continues as it's a liberal minded Western democracy with strong trade links to the US.
