macduff is impressed, but as of this time SawStop is unable to retro-fit the existing table saw's 100 year old technology, simply put it makes more sense when innovative multiple safety devices are placed up-front of the blade or cutting tool, suspended from a rock solid (a macduff first) stationary rip fence, being automatically adjustable to different heights and widths addressing the table saw's short comings and safety concerns.

look at for "elektra beckum" in the late 80's, today that company part of metabo.... they made it before 25-30 years ago...
