Rob, that was truly inspirational. I only recently saw August Rush. It was the first time that I had heard someone use the guitar as a percussive/stringed instrument. After seeing the movie I came home & wrote my first August Rush style piece. (I'm a novice compared to you), but we all need to start somewhere :) I was wondering if you use a different tuning than the normal E tuning. If so, Iet me know. Thanks again for your inspiration. You do understand that the common guitar started as a percussive, specifically, 'keyed precussion'. It was only flamingo and other styles that started adding a melodic aspect to the guitar that it them came into being as an instrument in it's own right.
