There was a 50ish year old man here in BC, driving on a suspended license, drunk, mashed some little girl up on the sidewalk. Not only as his sentence pitiful, but it fucking highlights the fact that claiming 21 suddenly makes you a fuckin genious is a joke.

Also, I think it's really helpful that now younger kids can't be DD for their buddies no more.

Why should you get to speed down the highway at 120 and probably not get pulled over, If you do you get maby a ticket but probably a warning. Personally i LOVE the new driving laws! It helps me stay safe! While in the past i'd travel with 1 car now we use 3 cars and have to run across red lights to keep up with each other. Triple the chances of accidents and good for environment too!

I agree I think the new laws are fuckin bullshit, I mean I know they want to cut down speeding and whatnot but EVERYBODY SPEEDS. If you're in a pack of cars going 80km/h on a 60km road obviously you stay with the flow of traffic. THe most BULLSHIT part of this law though is the passenger limitation. WHAT THE FUCK??? There's a reason cars have seats in them. To seat multiple people, end of story. I feel bad for the guys son but I'm not responsible for his stupidity.

Well, while that doesn't apply to me because I have my G2 now, I do agree that a new legislation such as that would be quite ridiculous.

Well for safety, sure.

But when you're 16 and you get your G1 you can't drive on your own anyway. Your parent or someone who's had their G license for a number of years has to be in the car with you.

If anything, I can see them changing the G2 age (which they sorta did) because I cannot see a 16 year old being mature enough to handle the responsibility of driving on their own. Particularly with all the distractions like cell phones, iPods, friends and crap like that.

Our Ministry Of Transportation is definately not alive and well , especially seeing as there have been 3 Ministers appointed to the same job in the last 4yrs. It has become apparent that our Ministry Of Transportation both hires and keeps employees on staff that can't even "document" the particulars of drivers who have been involved in an accident. These stupid people will hand you a sheet of paper that doesn't consist of the "other" driver's license # at the reporting center. (Yonge St.)

Since we have been paying the "useless" for years [who have been sporting their cleanliness] only , we are now faced with having to pay them yet even more , to bail them out of trouble.
