  • it's a 2011 - I got it in Michigan. It is hard to find with the ABS. I think all the natural disasters shut down production for awhile, so supply is limited.

  • i ride a ninja 250 and I’m getting ready to move up to a 600 i want a car 600rr is ABS worth the price of an extra 1k ? besides insurance discounts and such

  • just bought a 250r with abs today, amazing system

  • @b5thomas7 what year, where did you get it?

  • the big questin, what if my bike loose any electric power (due to malfunction), will it still brake?

  • ura for japan :D

  • to me its just more things to go wrong - an i dont know about you but i use my front brake way more than the back + have they included in that controler that bikers use there gears too to low down, it may confuse the abs an make the bike judder too much.

  • i think its more of a waste of money. i would be just as happy without it... cool design though, very interesting.

  • pendejos en español!!

  • @Mrsacramen Intenta aprender inglés... al principio cuesta pero vale la pena amigo. Un saludo.

  • everything is made better with feedback

  • To MoscowWinter LOL 25mph? i can only thing of parody how a person can get so fucked driving 25mph xD People like you should not even get a driving license, its clearly you can drive for shit. I had a crash at 65-70 km/p went off road to the ditch and got few scratches on my body 2 years later maybe 1-2 scars left that are visible. So i think it all about driving skill , also know how to fell and luck , and you have none of it .

  • ECU ??? the most important part in all of this and he did'nt say anything about it

  • I can see this being useful on touring bikes or for people who commute or are new to riding. Personally I like to control braking using both hand and foot brakes. But whatever suits your riding style and is safest for you.. Go Honda!

  • Recovering from 25 mph fall from 2009 non ABS HRC Blade. Front wheel locked up on dirt left on road by farm machinery. 3 broken ribs, chipped arm and damaged knee. New Blade delivered next week. ABS. Wish I'd not been so proud before. Would still be able to walk without a stick.

  • it is a brilliant system on our bike. that was a good idea that makes our bike more safety. thank you honda! go for it!

  • safety first and foremost

  • better waste money for safety...idiot!

  • it saves you your bone, flesh and skin weight. Not to mention the money you will have to spend on plastic surgery, face reconstruction and stuff. your choice!

  • I predict more bikes will have this feature and it will become the norm as the tech gets better...

  • Isn't this just a fancy ABS version of the crappy linked braking system. That Honda had used on the early CBR1000F's?

Which was the first thing every one took, would take off the CBR1000f when they bought one.

  • i agree i rode one my mate had and he sold the bike cause the brakes sucked. the problem is if your in the wet or on a shingle road the brake system does not know the roads integerty and fails by dictatorship of the breaking thus giving you bad breaking in the wrong places causing wreck. i would remove the system if i had it on any bike..

  • No this one was redesigned from scratch. And it was meant specifically for sports bikes, in dry and damp conditions. You should look for more information before you bash on it.

  • pfft.. its the same thing i dont need to research it.

  • sure, whatever you say

  • I just found out when the bike is moving, there is no connection from the brske lever to the caliper. AKA- the computer applies the brakes(brake by wire). I wonder what happens when the hydralic pump fails..!? Is there a fallback system ?

  • honda never fails!

  • for road... maybe.

    for race... noway.

  • YA!! Who is going to FIX it! For under $5000.00 bucks?

  • mental note to self dont buy a Honda with electronic controlled ABS

  • No thank you. I'll continue to do the braking myself.. Too complex, more stuff to go wrong , more weight

  • It seems a little dangerous to me if you do not have independent control of front and rear... I use front and rear differently, and at different times depending on road conditions... if both brakes hit every time, regardless of my intention... I think I would have a harder time riding.

  • Only when you push the rear past a certain point will the front brakes engage. The front is still independant. I'm they same way though, I like full control.

  • The more complicated you make things, there are more things to go wrong - K.I.S.S. Keep It Simple Stupid.

The Germans have a tendency to over engineer.

    The Japanese, historically don't.

  • Right, and Honda is a truly German company...

  • I WANNA SEE THIS IN ACTION

  • cool !
