He's the best pitcher in the game. He was so underrated in Toronto, probably because they weren't as good of a team back then. Now that he's in Philly, he's getting the recognition he deserves!
@JodyJody90 Earlier in his career before all of those awards. Nobody knew what to expect from him. He deserves a ring, and I think he'll get one with Philly.

@Yamahaphone Yeah I know but like the effort that it appears he's putting into it is so little compared to how fast it's going... haha gorgeous mechanics.
@kalehockey soooo, because I wanted to thank the Blue Jays (and now the Rangers) for giving us a great pitcher personally, that makes me a douche bag?
@dancagurli Actually, never mind the fruit. Send me some real Phillysteaks, please. Never thought I'd say this, Go Phillies! I guess we owed you guys one. Signed, Bitter Jays fan.
I really don't it's fare how much he is being used, with my hometown's team, the Phillies. He is carrying the team and they have him pitching full games to compensate for the lack of pitching help! it's not cool and he can get injured doing this over working. Ryan Howard (who isn't the most hospitable kind, in person), gets this large contract signing, but isn't producing...lol...just like Brand from the sixers

Howard carried this team with his run production he's why this team won in 08 and got to the series in 09..only Puljos is a better 1st baseman in mlb & wait til you see his contract. if you followed baseball much you would know Halladay has pitched many complete games his entire career and it didnt look like those deep pitch counts mattered to him getting that perfect game. & DONT EVER COMPARE ELTON BRAND TO RYAN HOWARD that alone should tell you how much you dont know about sports
This is so weird man he's gone at 1st I was like ahh whatever but I mean it's gonna be so weird not seeing in a jays uniform ugh he's a gem te best I blame rochardi for building the team so poorly
Halladay is actually probably one of the most consistent pitchers out there. He just had a bad groin injury, and you could tell the time off really put him out of his schedule.
Roy Halladay is a good pitcher johan santana is good but this is one of those down yeara where he's not as good. Tim lincecum is as well a great pitcher overhand delivery fastball reaches 100 rarely slider changeup etc. However Roy halladay would be better off with a team that makes it to the playoffs everyear. But who's taking him? Yankees can deal but where are they puitting gim they're pitching is good but joba is not playing well and some stupid rules forbid him to go more than 3 innings?
What I don't like about Halladay. Right about now, he isn;t very consestent. When he good, nothing bad ganna happen, and the Jays will mostlikely win. But he isn't doing too well......well thats another story. But I think he is the best pitcher in the AL, if not the MLB, if not the world today
@Shintalka as a phils fan, i believe thats true. You guys showed doc alot of respect when he was with you guys, and i can tell he definitely respected the fans of toronto.
yankees have garbage prospects, keep dreaming dickheads. if hes going anywhere it will be to philly. then u moron yankees fans can watch the phillies win back to back world titles
Not trying to be offensive to any Yankee fans...But dont you notice that Yankees have like all arms? o.O I mean Sabathia, Burnett, Chamberlain, Wang, Pettite, And Hughes.... I dont think they need another starter...cause they have so many starters atm. Also...I dont think it'd be right to have Halladay as a Reliever??! Yeah...Just putting my thoughts out there.
we need a 5th starter... he wouldnt go to the bullpen.. we should trade Ian kennedy , chien mine wang , and a prospect and some money for him. starting rotation-
Sheesh, it looks fake. He is so underrated. Real baseball fans know who he is and how damn good he is. He has a flawless delivery, effortless you can say. He throws NOTHING straight but he doesn't walk anybody. Just pure filth.
Most likey, Halladay will stay with the Jays. 1) he wants to win but also loves the Jays. 2) they were not looking to trade him more say but just to see whats out there. Besides the Yankees already pulled out becuase they dont want to give up Chamberlin and Hughes. If the slight chance he is traded, its going to the National league so they won't see him much.

easily the best pitcher in baseball because he's consistently good. he may only have one or two bad outings a year. too bad he's in a baseball wasteland but you have to give him credit for staying with the team that drafted him

The Doc is probably the best. I hate when we have to go up against him but I hate going against AJ to because he OWNS us. Yanks gotta go after AJ this offseason tho if he opts out but god I am jealous of Toronto and the way their team pitches every year. Wish I could see Doc in a Yanks uni... won't happen tho and it shouldnt Jays should lock him up for good
Yikes! Do you even watch baseball? A.J. Burnett can't hold a candle to Doc. Doc has better command and efficiency. Doc is consistently good, AJ is up & down
I Respect Halladay, he's one of the best but Santana is THE MASTER... Cy YOungs Talk 2-1, check the numbers... And the best is yet to come, Santana really begins after All-star Game... what pesqueman said: better than santana...? hehehe... I don't think so
Santana was the master at pitching against weak KC and Detroit lineups over his AL career, just look at his stats against New York and Boston and even Toronto who all hit well off Johan, and compare them to Doc who owns New York and is respectable against Boston, add to the fact Doc has a better ERA(40 points lower) with more K's, less walks and a better WHIP in a much harder league to pitch in the AL, and the best hitting division in the AL East.
Doc could easily have two Cy's. He was well on his way before he got hurt (broken leg) in 2005 (12-4, ERA under 3.00, ASG starter). If he got better RS, he'd be right in the mix this year too.
