Mary is not of heaven but a woman born and honored . The crucifix if that is what you are referring to with Jesus, is a symbol of the covenant made by the sacrifice. Like the ark is a symbol of the covenant to moses sanctioned by God. Plus that whole idol thing was meant to restrict praying to statues. If you are trying to make a reference to the crucifix than you are referring to how chrisitans bow at the sight of a sign of the covenant as the Jews who wrote the law did when they honored the arc.
