check e-levelup on naver out, all you teachers and students. it's a great website that helps students practice speaking english every day. it's game based, so it's a lot more fun and it's got a competitive edge to it as well. in the end, it guarantees 900 on toeic and gives out designer bags for free if you get enough experience points.
영어는 습관처럼 듣고 따라해야 해요~^^ e-levelup 싸이트는 원어민의 목소리를 듣고 따라하도록 되있는데 실시간으로 판정이 나와 재미있고요 g-learning (game based learning)으로 되있어서 재미를 더한답니다. 그리고 경험치가 쌓이면 나중엔 진짜 명품가방도 살수 있고 영어도 늘어 토익 900점을 보장해 준다고 합니다. 지금 open-beta test 중이라 공짜니 해보세요~^^
You're not an English, show me one person that speaks English well because of you, I taught helluva lot less people than you have, but I teach effectively. Just look at 은혜
How the hell can you picture concepts like influence or impossibility? I wonder if he can do the whole lecture in English.... I think it would be more effective to do the whole lecture in English.
@candoyja You really have no idea on learning a second language.... that's why you can say such a blunt thing, right? Acquiring a second language does not work the same way as learning a first language. I kinda agree that picturing abstract concepts is kinda self-contracting. But teaching a second language in that language is almost always not effective. And this lecture is not for learning English but rather for preparing an english exam.
@candoyja spelling is not a very important part of lg, if you didn't know. and it also changes with time. i'm a SLA learner and it can be embarrassing for L2 leaners to have a misspelled word or wrong grammar structure but i think they shouldn't be ashamed.
also, i bet you have no experience or background in teaching and learning L2. i'm a linguistics major and L2 learner myself, so i know it is way too different to learn L2 from learning L1. they can just not be the same.
@candoyja and AGAIN, this is NOT for conversational ability NOR free talking. this is, as i pointed out before, FOR EXAM PREP. honestly, peopl do NOT expect to learn conversational or communicative skills in EXAM PREP courses. get real.
The problem with English language education in South Korea and other Asian nations is that they teach a whole bunch of idioms without teaching how to build a question, and how to put simple grammar rules to make a sentence on their own...
@katiejueun Thank you for your comment and agreeing with me, I was born here, lived in Japan then we emigrated to US, now I'm back in Korea. I got sick and tired of people asking me how to say this and that in English and I was disgusted with the way 학원's steal hard working people's money w/o teaching them English effectively, so I created this webpage as a hobby rokchannel(dot)com
Just around corner 정도는 뭐 ,,, , 아무나 알아들을 수있는거 아닌지...
이렇게 열심히 가르쳐주시지 않아도 되는데,,,,

"별거아니지만 리스닝은 powerful하게 해결이돼요"에서 파워풀하게 해결됀다는게 도대체 무슨말인지...? 영어 단어 무슨 뜻인지 알고 쓰시는건지.. ㅋㅋㅋ

An extremely nice tool to improve your English pronunciation:
Iphone App "Pronounce It L1"
You can get it from Iphone, Ipod-touch, or Ipad.
This allows you to record your own voice, listen to native speaker, grade your pronunciation and come back for repeats.
감사합니다

Hey, Lee Guen Chur. English is not mathematics. Try to construct your stupid lectures on that basis.

Get your spelling correct before even starting to criticize my comment.
What is self-contracting? Making a contract with yourself?
What Korean English teachers should do is to emulate learning a second language as if it were the first.

I think this is just a orientation.
and So many ESL teachers usually say this problem but it's same in US students that they can't speak forign lanuage fluently.
Moreover you can't understand Korean right away then can't evaluate this clip.
and can't learn foreign language without your mother tongue once you were grown up in Korea.

@HMXH106 I sooooo agree with u!!
i'm from south korea and i live in US right now...
and all the teaching they did in SK didn't really helped me here
used just few words that i learned in the school
u don't hav to know all the ways to make a question,
because even if u get ur grammer wrong while talkin to american,
they still understand what u're talkin about......
I think talkin to american A LOT is the BEST way to improve ur english skills
so don't be afraid Koreans!! just feel brave =]

그런데, 저 분 한국어 발음이 이상하네... 영어 발음하고 믹싱이 되서 들리네... 저걸 직업병이라고 해야 하나?... 안습이다. 저렇게 해서 영어를 잘하면 무슨 소용이 있나... 밥은 굷지 않겠다.
