i just listened to Marty Wilde's version and it is soooo much better than Robin Luke's. Much more professional. Luke's sounds like it was done in a garage by comparison. I in fact remember this song from when it came out.

Yes, at the University of Missouri I think, head of the Marketing Department there too. :) I wonder if his students know of his recordings. You're right, "Susie Darlin'" is a great song.
Marty Wildes version is much better. Released here on Epic records in 1960. Got a lot of radio play but could not crack top40.
