@randomnessgurl46 You? I'm not from NK, neither am i hypnotized b any of their leaders. What is your problem? This documentary is biased shit mostly. Well i guess you never asked how their misery is coming, it's not only about their weired leader but also because of Western sanctions. Why dont you criticize your own government for their misery?
well this woman, thats obvious, survived in China and Thailand not by work you think of, she worked as a prostitute in other words
@koyaustralia I don't care who you are, getting up at 6 am is hard. Unless you're one of those morning people. Human beings weren't designed to wake up at 6, we just do it cause we have to, and it sucks every single time.
At least the government in South Korea are trying to make those from the North fit in and contribute to society so they're not begging or stealing to live.
Also the collapse of the North would mean the North would be economically dependent on the South for a LONG time.
In short a North Korean collapse would mean the wonderful place the South Koreans have built up over the years would come under tremendous economic strain with the collapse of the North.
Thus South Koreans are very ambivalent about a North Korean collapse despite their desires for reunification.
Thus China relies on the brutality of North Korea to keep North Koreans from otherwise flooding into China.
On the opposite end you would think that the South Koreans are relishing the day that North Korea collapses. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Surprisingly a very large segment, if not a majority, of South Koreans fear the collapse of North Korea will send millions of North Koreans flooding to the South and the South Koreans would be forced to aid them.
You would think China has excellent relations with North Korea. On the contrary China has very good relations with South Korea and is in a "stuck between a rock and a hard place" with North Korea. China doesn't want to abandon it's "old ally" but North Korea costs China money in aid. The biggest issue for China is that they're aware that North Korea is unstable and a collapse of North Korea would send millions of North Korean refugees into China.
We need to take out Kim Jong. The evil dictator enslaves a nation (Hitler, Hussein).
Free the people and take down the dictator. Most dictators are always evil. The people cannot do much, we need to step in. That is how life of any American. Helping will give u the highest score of the game, not high school grades.
the US? the UN? remember Most people went crazy over the Iraq war & would not support another one. cost too much money & Lives. the Only good thing is Most don't know about insurgents & Don't have the material to do any. But china would probobly Help them, NK has to make the first move Before anything will ever get done. Then china wouldn't support them. Many fear the Mass exodus to
other countries. kims son Might change things but very Doubtfull
@MetalHeart8787: unfortunately there are too many that think from a simplistic standpoint. If those persons actually thought thru the process their "save the world" would fall aside. "Going in and 'saving' North Koreans" all sound so straightforward and easy but when one thinks thru possible resulting scenarios of this act it suddenly doesn't seem so "all we need to do" easy. 1) 1.2 million "drilled to fanatical" NK army 2) China next door will not take foreign military next door very good
@lukebccb Yes i understand that, flooding into china & South Korea would cause a mass Exodus, NOT many jobs Avalible & South koreans having to Help Millions of people. BUT the always say "ONE KOREA"
a united korea. YES ive watched Every NK documentary on here & Read Books, seen Movies.
But IF it was done the SMART way korea could unite with out alot of headache. they just have to use their Brain.
i wonder how they get all the connections (e.g. to get food, where to stay etc) I mean in North Korea, they have no information about outside, so how do they know where to go and stuff?
@scorpioo read the book nothing to envy: ordinary lives in north korea by barbara demick, you will know everything about it , plus its a great book, i loved it, it made me cry so much
@scorpioo There are Chinese citizens who assist in the crossing through China undercover (the police / authorities would send them back to almost certain death). They generously provide tools and supplies for the journey. It's quite moving.
@chakazulu87 Actually I just went to his page. He doesn't look like a "liberal", more so a suppoter of the DPRK, which is a tragedy. NK is the most warped country in the world and I feel a deep sorrow for their people, especially the starving ones. All apologies, I jumped the gun because he brought California into it. So I thought he was radical leftest. It looks like he thinks north koreas government has a good foundation.
I am crossing fingers for all emigrants from northkorean hell!
courage!
