@andrewh4, thanks for the comment and sorry for the late reply :( - this spot on the grand is just south of Caledonia and the google map co-ords are - 43.043874,-79.910309. I assume the season is over for now until next summer of course. Tight lines my friend!
@fishfanaticdotnet Thanks alot! I assume you are familiar with caledonia dam? I've been dying to give that spot a shot for steelies but havent gotten around to it yet. What time of year doess the gar fishing kick off there?
@andrewh4 no problem bud, I am new to Canada and to fishing in the Caledonia area (my 2nd season now). Yes the steelies should be starting to run now, especially with the cooler weather over the past few days! just what they have been waiting for I'm sure :) Which means we need to get on down there in the next week or so.... The Gars are best fished earlier in the season June-July.

Very Nice, I usually fish the bay of quinte area and surrounding tribs 4 gar. Where exactly is this on the grand?
