@erbjs im not sarah but i will kinda doughbt she will reply to you, (not in mean way) anywho i dont recommend risking her hair, so i think just go with the books, but if you chose to iron just like, completely wash that section only in her hair, like soak it so the water helps the iron stop from giving too much heat, so that stops it from brning again i dont recommend doing this :/.

thank you! I did this on my oldest dolls, Kirsten and Marisol, who were played with for about three years and then moved to display about two years ago. Their hair was in awful condition (compared to my three other dolls) because of the amout of playtime I had with them (and the fact that Kirsten was bought used at a garage sale), but now they loook really good. :D

Actually, the reason AG dosen't want you to get your doll wet is because fabric dye can stain dolls skin and torso and make there eyes rust. Hair is the same as all dolls hair.

I did this to my JLY and she is the 1 with the honey blonde hair that comes in the pigtails, and i am experienced with straighters so i did it myself and it didnt rly work on her. I did EXACTLY as u said but it just cant straighten her hair bc its made to curl up. It made a little less frizz, but didnt straighten. Did on 140 degrees ( lowest degree setting on mine) didnt do anything, then i did 240 and it worked a little better and took out the frizz but not the curls.Ty tho it took da frizz out

Great tutorial i also found if you message a bit of Go2b glossy shine serum in the hairn and then flat iron the hair it makes the hair silky and turns literly into silky feeling hair! i have done the go2b glossy thing on my BFC ink doll and it worked AMAZING so i will be doing it to my Josephina

I did this to my Kaya after I took her braids out and it work fantastically. I don't have a straightener so I actually used a regular clothing iron on it after I soaked it with water and it worked just the same :) Thank you for this video, it saved Kaya's hair big-time!

People Textured hair won't straighten like non textured hair will. For exp. Molly's Hair will straighten better than Josefina's hair. And yes water burns the dolls hair and i think it gets smokey. So take my advice.
