Ratty was my favourite DJ the whole way through 92-94.. before Jungle kicked off. Wicked deck technician, scratcher.. and tune selection was totally my style. In a word, RUFF.

But the most bass I ever heard n felt was Midlands UK 1st birthday party, somewhere in Wolves. The kind of sound that makes ur internals shake. Fuck me, my ears are still ringin'.

i can remember havin a good chat with ratty backstage at a vibealite nite in mansfield notts (94), great guy & vastly underated as a dj back then, always put a good set together & played killer tunes

Ratty was never underrated. He was always Wolverhampton's prodigal son. The queues at Quest were huge whenever ratty played.

When people talk about the originators of DandB, the same names usually get banded about, Grooverider, Fabio, Ray Keith, Reinforced, Moving Shadow etc. Ratty is far to overlooked for my liking, playing total darkness way before everyone else, rarity for any happiness in a post 92 Ratty set. The Originator right here people!
