Pyrotechnics causes deadly Russian Nightclub fire

The Pyrotechnics in the club in Russia were used against code. Pyrotechnics can actually be better controlled indoors because you take away factors like wind and dry bushes and trees. Just because someone screws up and does something illegally and kills people doesn't mean they should ruin the fun for everybody else. Pyrotechnics are a great way to enhance a show of any kind.

but you never mention that they were used against code and that the club was over its legal capacity. If Proximate Pyrotechnics are used in compliance with state and national law they can create a safe a spectacular show without hurting anyone.

I'm not saying that the persons in charge of the pyrotechniques was intoxocated, but you never know.. They drink Moonshine at the streets for crying out loud!

I agree with you that fireworks may be OK for outdoor use and proper events, but ... Rockets inside a small building spells disaster!

Being a paramedic, I could never understand why they would use them indoors. Outdoors they have even injured people. I guess we are to old for this kind of excitement now lol.

It was just plain stupid!

I see many stupid asses on YT that show vids that are very dangerous, and kids get ideas too. One dude broke his back doing a stupid jump with a Wnnnebago. Another messes with a microwave ovn, hi voltage and dangerous RF radar waves. Or putting a cellery fone in a blender, lithium battery and all, kaboom! Just stupid shit people do.

I totally agree, PlasmaDude! I was just wondering to myself: 'When are nightclub managers going to learn??' How many people have to die before they figure out that pyrotechnics of any kind are not a good idea? Tragic waste of lives. So sad.
