I grew up in L-Burg, live in Houston now. Spent many a day floating this strech of the James. Wasn't unusual to catch 50 a day. Last time I went the catch was way off compaired to 25 years ago. Great video..
That was a very good video, thank you! I've fished above (E) of the Hwy 60 bridge, but I think this might have been W of the 160 bridge? The main lake was so-so (decent at times) due to the +22 inches of rain this year.
This was below the Hwy D (E. Sunshine) bridge, a few miles east of town. We have caught several good fish upstream and downstream from there. Lately, we've been putting in at the Lake and going "upstream". Fewer fish, but better quality. We're waiting for the water to go back down of course, then we'll get back out there.
Sure, I know where that bridge is. There's goggle-eye in that river, too. Hopefully it won't be too long before the water returns to normal levels; this has been a crazy year!
i floated this today and couldnt catch anything that big, just got a white stripped bass and thats it
