  • What year was that system released? The controller looks like Nintendo's

  • @spaceorbison

I remember seeing it store in 1986.

I read that it was released also in 1984 for a short time! I don't know if it is true!

Yes, it is like the NES controller.

  • How did you get the speedup?

  • where did you buy the game?

  • @joestradamus75

It is found at the Atariage store.

  • @starblazers1969 you mean the one with the ym2151 chip and high score cartridge?

  • This video has the game in speed up mode, but the game also has a mode for the original speed. There's also a cool easter egg is a real PLUS! :)

  • 2600 Jr. Pac-Man is an outstanding port that pushes the 2600. 7800 one is better, but It's an unfair comparison. 7800 has the same sound chip as the 2600, so without an extra chip, there is no way the sound could be closer to the arcade.

  • Wow, that's almost %100 spot on perfect Arcade Translation the sound is a little off and the music is not quite as good as the arcade but it has all the intermissions and the same attract screens. Vast Improvement over all the 2600 PAC MAN games.

  • @dallase1

Yes, it is a big improvement over the Atari 2600 version. The video quality of my camera is making the game look blurry, but it really is close to arcade prefect.

    Thank you for the comment,

    Guy

  • Fast game!

  • pac-man jr is one of my favorites

  • That port looks amazing. And your skills are damn good. :-)

  • Very nice port. There are so many homebrews I'd love to get. Speaking of which, I hope the new 7800 circus atari is released on cart soon. Love to get that one :)

  • @atarileaf

I didn't know that they were coming out with Circus Atari for the 7800. Is it going to be for the new 7800 expansion module? I may be getting the expansion module for my Atari 7800.

  • @starblazers1969 I don't think it needs the new expansion pack. You can look it up on the Atariage forums and download the work in progress (WIP) and use an emulator (although using a keyboard instead of paddles or driving controllers isn't the same. And it will support all 3 controller options - joystick, paddles, driving.

Its full name is "Super Circus Atariage" :)

  • @starblazers1969 WOW! That game looks fun but it is way to fast for me! LOL

  • @65Gamerguy

It is a lot of fun. I will be playing Pacman Jr. again this weekend when I bring my Atari out of storage. Intellivision Dude is going to have another challenge video this weekend!
