The VenMill Technical Support team are excellent. I am surprised you have had these issues. The Team give unlimited support and in cases where the unit is not working they have even replaced the machine for their customers. Please call them right away so they can immidiately assist you and make your repair experience a pleasant one.
Might I add that we've had several problems on several machines with the latch, and the door sometimes shoots open while in operation. When new buff wheels are used and the unit is clean, it works wonders. But when the buff wheels start wearing down, it starts to leave gunk in the machine, and it's a pain in the ass to clean and maintain. Overrall, after years of commercial use, I rate the VMI 3500 5 out of 10. It's expensive to operate, breaks often, and is a mess to clean.
I work at a music store here in NC, we have 4 of these machines. I do high volume CD and DVD buys, approx 250,000 a year, and occasionally we buy out of print scratched CD's, or ones we deem worthy of being fixed to use with the VMI. We also offer a service to fix customers scratched CD's. Currently, we only have one of these that works. What they should tell you when you buy these things is the operation costs. You cannot buy the buff wheels without buying the liquid! It gets expensive!
@spaceagedevice at cdtagandstorage's on line web store you can you can buy the buffing wheels individually or just one bottle of AC Liquid. And for an additional 10 percent off simply add coupon code P649 to your order .
the VMI-3500 fixes 90% of the damage that is done to discs. The local DVD rental store should use the partnering product called the Work-Mate to completely give 100% repair to their disc collection. The Work-Mate is to used to repair the deepest of scratches prior to the disc being processed by the VMI-3500 unit.
@earont This machine is sold thru various distributors globally. Depending where you live will factor the price of the unit, being under the price you have listed. Also note this machine is an industrial machine for businesses. You can visit our website to see the price of the unit along with options of other disc repair units that are more appropriate for smaller applications.
@CDTagandStorage i apreciate it but i was looking for somthing in my price range like 400-500 dollars i knew it was industrial but what average american can afford this idk do you have any suggestions?
@earont Your absolutely correct, it's not made for an individual, but under our website if you choose the "order now" button and on the side links there is a section called "disc repair" you will find a machine called Skip-Away Pro that is more in the price range you are looking for and uses the same process as the industrial but takes longer to do it, about 2-3 minutes. Hope that helps.
