There are people in Cuba who have been swimming in shark-infested waters, risking getting eaten by sharks, just to get to the USA. Are people from the USA, swimming in these same waters to get to CUBA ( and all it's glorious Socialistic /Communist government ?

In my mind the US has the ability to set the standard for energy production and product manufacturing in a green sense in a way to persuade the rest of the world to follow suit. Sure, economically the time is not right, but through prudent investment the rapidly growing economies of the world may be encouraged socially as their citizens increasingly fall ill to human caused environmental conditions. Hopefully economies of scale and technology advancement make this dream possible and worthwhile
