I have two minpin males that are now 14 weeks old. I also have two 10 yr old german shepherd / lab mixes. The minpins show the other dogs who the boss really is. And the bigger dogs show respect where it is due. You have to love the spirit and tenacity of the minpin. They are the best dogs ever.

My miniature pinscher mix/mutt isn't so aggressive with his much larger dog companion, but he IS extremely quick to dart in and take away any food that she literally doesn't already have in her mouth. If it's on the ground directly in front of her but she hasn't picked it up yet, he's already grabbed it. She is too old and calm by now to try to compete for it, and lets him get away with it.
