@billibonny, yeah I was up in the air about either the gsxr or the cbr, but the gsxr just had more features and looked so much better and when I sat on both of them the gsxr sat about the same as the cbr so I am glad as well I went with the gsxr. What color scheme did you go with? I bet you love your bike, I will always be a gsxr fan!!!

I can't decide between GSX-R 600 and CBR 600. I like the looks of the Suzuki but the Honda looks cool too; I don't know which of them sounds better though; I like a closer sound to a F1 sound; but only Honda and BMW bikes have ABS breaking, which I found it extremely vital&useful. I saw the difference when breaking hard and all I can say is that ABS does a lot of difference in saving your life when riding. Why doesn't Suzuki install ABS too? I still can't decide what to get; any advice?

Yes, I really think this is a very good starter bike, this is my first bike ever and I was riding up and down the street the first day I brought it home, it took me about 3 weeks of practice before I went on any major roads, but it is very easy to learn and does have a mode selecter which detunes the engine power so your not starting off with tons of power. This bike is really great and I would definatly recommend it to others. Let me know what you do and how you like it if you get one. Thanks

No, I have the stock exhaust aswell, I really wanna put an Akra-povick (prob mispelled that heh) slip-on, or a two bros... I'm hearing mixed opinions on the whole "needing a juice-box or power commander with a slipon"... I know it couldn't hurt but If it isn't mandatory I wont... Yes they have this plate that flips up and down when you want it to, also they have another one where you mount it on sideways, so I am deciding on which on to go with.
Hope you don't mind me asking, I was wondering how tall you were, and if you can securely have both feet on the ground while sitting. Because I'm 5'3" and was looking at this bike, but wasn't sure. I haven't had the chance to get out and actually get on one yet.
I am 5'10 and have no problem touching the ground, and I do have some shorter friends that are able to ride, one of them leans to one side when coming to a stop and one of my girlfriends that rides wears boots with lots of heal so she can touch.
how did the conversion to a two brothers exhaust system go? did u have to re-map the ECU for the gixxer or did you install a Power commander to do the job ?
Actually I did not have to install anything on there, it worked just find hooking up the pipe. It's just a slip on and not the full exhaust, when I do get the full exhaust I will get the power commander to go with it though. I don't think you will need to do anything with just a slip on though.

Please do let me know how the conversion to a full system went. I too have an 09 gixxer 600 and would like to put a two brothers racing system on it. I have heard that it does mess up the ECU mapping system and that it has to be re-mapped professionally. You do look very capable when riding the bike on the highway [in your other videos]. Hey i love your gixxer! I'm planning to get this bike, but i want to know if this bike is right for me. I'm 5'4 and i was wondering if this may be too big of too tall of a bike for me
5'10 and have no trouble touching the ground, but I think if I were 5'4 I would have a problem. You know they can always lower a bike for you but only a couple inches or so. I would go to a dealership and sit on one and see if you feel comfortable. I have a friend who is 5'5 and he said he had to always lean to one side when he came to a stop in order to touch the ground. Hope this helps.
I would say I could probably go about 2 hrs comfortably then after that it would start to get painful. This is definatly more of a bike to just cruise around the area more than a long trip bike. I would have to make lots of stops if I went more than 3 hrs hope this helps. Everyones body is different though remember you may be able to endure more than me.

Yeah I think the mode selector is a great option, especially being a new rider, but after buying the 600 I kinda wish I would of gotten the 1000 for just a little bit more. Remember the 1000's & 750's have the mode selector too. Just depends on your budget and insurance really, but the 600 is a great starter bike and very easy to handle. Yeah the ninja 250 was not enough for me as well. Good luck in your choice!! let me know what you got.

Do mean lane sharing, or driving in between the cars in 2 differnt lanes. If sharing then yes that is legal here. You are suppose to stay stagered but most people don't, they ride side by side.

Yeah I thought it was going to be uncomfortable, but nothing a couple of days of riding won't take care of. I don't think you lean too much, but I'm pretty tall and I assume the shorter you are the more you lean to reach. Sit on it then have someone hold it up for you with your feet on the pegs, that's what I did to feel how it would be.

Suzuki has the mode selector switch, which allows you to control the power you have going to the engine, great for beginners like myself, Also they are the only 600 that has the turn signals in the mirrors, which I think looks great. Also the seat cover for the passenger comes with the bike and you do not have to purchase it like you do with other bikes. That's about 200-300 saving. They also have a passing button which flickers your lights instead of turning them off and on.
Yep this is my first bike ever, I learned how to shift from riding one of my 4-wheelers and it was just a breeze when I got on. I did ride about 4 times on a dirt bike before I bought the bike so I kinda knew it would be similar, but it was really easy to learn. The hardest thing was learning how to turn I think, but starting and stopping were very easy.

Only thing I hate on these bikes is that pipe... It's gotta go always.. the 07 pipe was fine, but this one just screams first aftermarket mod is a new effin pipe.
yeah here ,in CA, they call it lane splitting and its only legal do to traffic conditions being extreme so they consider it safer for us and so they dont have riders falling off due to heat stroke lol.

Only thing I hate on these bikes is that pipe... It's gotta go always.. the 07 pipe was fine, but this one just screams first aftermarket mod is a new effin pipe.

yeah I know the stock pipe was horrible, I put on a 2 brothers slip on and it looks a lot better.

Well it went up 1000 for the 09 version, dunno why but you have to figure tax and freight fees as well.

yeah here ,in CA, they call it lane splitting and its only legal do to traffic conditions being extreme so they consider it safer for us and so they dont have riders falling off due to heat stroke lol.
