I suppose it doesn't matter how brilliant a musician or artist is, there will always be those who want to find fault. Perhaps this is the way these amateur pundits try to cope with their own failures and shortcomings. 

As far as I am concerned Filomena's performance is superb. I guess the purist will always find some tiny technicality which is not quite right, but sometimes the most gifted musicians need to sacrifice technical perfection for meaningful interpretation.

unfortunately it's not just the pundits, but musicans of professional caliber will often make exaggerated remarks that others are bad when others might not think so at all. It might be due to ego or just artistic differences, or both. Such is the subjective nature of music.

However, this was a sublime performance! 5 stars

meeetthh. agreed on the ida presti version but ppl shud not be judged by others accomplishments....given that Presti was so young, those more informed and better equipped through experience could add that at such a young age, there were flaws in her playing too?? IMO...bottom line, i appeciate all, by all on individual merits.

I agree, her use of vibrato was tense in the beginning , but don not forget she is performing Live a very hard repertoire. and she was tense in the beginning of the recital but she managed to be much better in the end and that is the sign of good performer.
