really depends on what you want and how good you are with computers like ipods are way better when it comes to software based programs and alot of cool things but if you know how to unlock a psp and not fuck it up you can get free games for life that actually run at the right speed

Not to mention that you can run all sorts of emulators at full speed too. I've got GBA, PlayStation, NES, SNES, and Genesis all running on mine perfectly. The controls are much better on the PSP too, but utilizing it as a mass storage mp3 player is sort of worthless, even with an 8GB card. So it just depends on what you are looking for. And I've got Mac OS 8.1 running on my PSP too.

actually if you use the restore function in itunes all core system files are replaced, so any damage you do can very easily be undone/covered up. in most places it's against the law to look to deep for stuff in a system (privacy laws) so most companies don't even bother looking past the surface to avoid legal trouble, but yeah the core files are easily fixed, and jailbreaking is easily undone
