He's so full of shit, who plays on people's dreams and fantasies and profits on them. But you have to hand it to him, he fooled a lot of people, and made a lot of money.
he's sucking money from the type of people who have shitty, unfulfilling lives that instead of doing something are giving up hoping in at least there's something better waiting for them, like the billions of others, after this time here and are looking to this creature for the little hope they may have. still felt bad for him being surrounded by the horror that is the view
heh this babbling idiot is spewing scum out of his mouth, keep up the acting like an ass for the money you douche bag. you'll find how to defend yourself better
How about one of you JE fans explain why there is a disclaimer at the end of his show, which says, in part: "The producer has relied heavily on the contributions of John Edward and other third parties in the creation of this program, which has been produced for entertainment purposes only...Materials and opinions presented in this program by John Edward .....are not meant or intended to be a form of advice, instruction, suggestion, counsel or factual statement in any way whatsoever."
By "better things to do", I do believe a certain poster here means she'll be busy changing her vibrator batteries that she burned out fantasizing over John Edward.
I almost forgot: John Edward, despite what another poster would have you believe, HAS been proven wrong on national TV....ShowTime, to be exact....Penn and Teller's Bullshit! series, season 1, epsisode 1.
Though i'm not the biggest fan of John Edwards - he's the one with a painted target on his ass and he has my respect for that. The amount of shit this man cops is unbelieveable. Would someone who truly doesn't feel and believe what they're saying actually stand up in front of people and talk and do this stuff again and again and again?
@LedZep1275 yep he will if he's getting paid for it, there's no length people wont go to make easy money
a man with no other talent to show claims to be psychic cause he knows that out of a million people at least ten will believe him and that's huge number in a population of 3 billion
seriosly ? the guy can talk to the dead and he does that in front of an audience in a studio to put up a show and make money, charges people exorbitantly for a reading and now he's charging people to get into "the five" thingie ?
if people started using their brains, this fake psychic would be another homeless person here on the streets of new york
So there are lots of ways that someone could expose him and prove you haters are correct that he is a fraud and yet no one is able to do it. Don't you find it interesting that he is still touring, invited on the Dr. Phil Show, Dr. Oz show, The View, GMA and countless other shows and they haven't been able to prove him to be a fraud. He continues to be more popular than ever. And I still can't find anyone that has had a reading and claims he is a fraud. Go figure that one!
I have seen him twice and he is amazing. People have the right to believe whatever they want but unless you have experienced a reading by John yourself it is difficult to understand how you can judge. Keep an open but skeptical mind without being so cynical and you may be surprised.
@ebrobaru lol are you still here???? I can't believe you are still here and you don't have anything new..... I have already heard you try to explain how you believe he does his readings and I still don't buy it. Sorry but I have to say that I have seen him in person and you are absolutely 100% wrong. Not cold reading, not parlor tricks.
@1arielone I am still here and the facts remain the same. He is a fraud. I guess you don´t get the concept of publicity even if bad one, that explain his "tours" and guest appearances at these "highly critical" shows. Sigh!!
I guess you don´t look very hard. Anyone that really thinks it over can see that his readings are fake.
@ebrobaru you are confused here. I am not the one trying to discredit him, you are. I have the answers and information that I need. Therefore I am not going to waste my time looking for negative information that I don't need or believe. I just find it funny that you spend so much time hanging out at these videos trying to convince people he is a fake. It just seems like there are better and more positive things for you to do. So much wasted energy.... you still have no FACTS.....
@1arielone If you have the asnwers you need good for you, but that doesn´t make him real at all. I am not trying to convince anyone that he is fake. Facts speak for themselves. And, no, it´s not wasted energy. Actually it´s refreshing.
@ebrobaru i only red 3 of your posts and it already looks to me like your angry looking to prove him a fack couse you might have bin riped off buy some one calling themselves a Psychic so you can say-see hes a fack not real-just let people beleave what thay want to beleave and it looks like you already sayd your bit.have a cool day
@ebrobaru It means he is real to me and that is all that matters as far as I am concerned. You must have a very weird way of entertaining yourself because constantly saying negative things to others or about others is not refreshing it is exhausting. You have been doing that for the last year and I can't see where you have helped anyone here including yourself. And again you have never reported any facts, you just always talk about facts that you never produce.
@ebrobaru well when you have some facts bring it on. Your gibberish is not the truth but your fear of what you know nothing about is LOUD and CLEAR. I bet you haven't even watched the video and really listened because you already have your mind made up. Now that is what is so sad. It is called FEAR!
@1arielone Yes, I have my mind made up. Just take a look at the other comments in this thread besides mine. Unless of course that you think that everyone here is afraid
@ebrobaru I don't need other people to make up my mind for me. And millions of people live in fear of something. I have a skeptical mind not a cynical mind!
@ebrobaru lol okay..... just because you type it doesn't make it so. Maybe you should at least go to a reading or talk to someone that has before you judge! It is like denouncing mexican food because you read somewhere that hundreds of people stated they didn't like it. Go see for yourself and then I may listen to what you have to say. Otherwise you have not shown me anything in the last year that proves your claims! NOTHING...
@1arielone Everybody with a proper head knows that psychics are fake. But there are especially two that have been exposed over and over and their credibility is 0, Sylvia Browne and your hero. It´s sad really. Are you sure you don´t work for him?
@ebrobaru Wow I didn't realize that you were such an expert on psychics. I don't really follow that much on Sylvia Browne so I don't really have a comment on her but as for John your claims are false. You have no evidence that John has been proven a fake. Just look at the videos. He is even more popular today and continues to be invited on shows like Dr. Phil, Dr. Oz, Oprah, The View, GMA, and the list goes on and on. You should show them your evidence......
@1arielone Yes I am an expert. Strange that you love osychics and don´t know Browne. You are not missing anything, same nonsense. Yes, I ahve evidence and I have shown it to you repeteadly. The fact that you just wont admit it is another thing. Magicians are also invited over and over to those (by the way, not exactly bastions for critical thinking) shows. That doesn´t make what they do real. Those shows peddle all sorts of nonsense, but I guess as a regular viewer you are the perfect target
@ebrobaru expert lol!!! I never said I loved psychics and never said I didn't know anything about Silvia Browne. OMGosh you are funny. You can't continue to say you have evidence when you don't. You are only fooling yourself... These shows would be the first to expose any frauds, if that was the case. They do it all the time. So if John was exposed, as you say, these shows would not be inviting him as a guest but as a fraud. Don't you have anything else to do? Board........
@ebrobaru just so we are straight here. I do believe that there are frauds out there. Lots of them. Just don't believe that John is one of them. And NO ONE, NO ONE has ever PROVED that he is a fraud on national TV or anywhere else. Saying he is a fraud does not make it so. My belief system is not the same as yours and we will never agree on this subject. I believe in GOD and yet there is no real proof he even exists, yet millions and millions of people believe in him!
@1arielone These shows would expose him? Are you kidding? These shows that promote all kind of nonsense? Ok sure. Now I see where do you get your sense of reality from. The comparison to believing in God is useless because then it falls on the realm of religion and faith. Faith is beleieving something without any proof. Of course if you believe in him just on faith, then there is nothing else to discuss. It´s a moot point
@ebrobaru lol You can twist and turn whatever I say around to fit your needs. But yes I do believe in GOD and as far as I know there is no scientific proof that he exists. I believe in John Edward by facts on what I have seen for myself. What John does is validated by every person he reads. If you don't believe me then go see for yourself. I will buy the ticket! but of course you would never do that......
@1arielone Will you buy me a ticket to see that douche? He's coming to my area soon, and charges $145 per ticket, so if you can cover that, plus gas, parking, and 4 hours of my life I'll never get back, I'd be willing to go. I am willing to refund double that money to you, if he convinces me he's real. So you have nothing to lose.
@1arielone You're wrong...J Edward has been proved a fraud on South Park...and before you dismiss that show as being just a cartoon, it's actually far more realistic than that crap you watch, like Dr Oz, who thinks acupunture is a bonafide medical treatment.
@gravyboythebuttplug OMG I'm commenting on a post from a kid that actually believes what he watches on South Park... ok seriously do your parents know you are on the computer???? sorry no more comments......
@1arielone I thought you weren't going to reply to me anymore? And no, I am not a kid. Of course , once again you avoid the issue...Have you actually seen that episode of South Park? You think that just because it's a cartoon, that the content presented can't be based on reality? It is, after all, written by real people who know exactly how J Scamward performs his deceitful act, but of course you chose to ignore the facts, as usual.. Now don't you have some crystals to polish?
@1arielone Are you fu%^& serious? You think that someone who appears on idiotic shows such as Dr. Phil, Dr. Oz, Oprah, The View, GMA must be legit because he was invited to be on there? You've got to be kidding...they only have this psychic bullshit on their shows because it boosts their ratings to their target audience...fat, middle-aged lonely housewives from places like Toad Suck, Arkansas...and Dr Oz...the biggest quack of all...I wouldn't go to him to get a hangnail removed..
@gravyboythebuttplug wow - I would highly recommend you take a deep breath and relax. No need to get so upset. no reply is necessary I will not be exchanging conversation with you so don't waste your time.
@1arielone THat cartoon is mouch more real than this fraud. My needs? Ok, sure, why not. For the nth time, your opinion is not fact. Get it already? Wow, see how everybody thinks you are, well, crazy?
@ebrobaru I really have better things to do and it is not watching South Park.... So my work is done here and my opinion is my opinion and there is nothing you have to say that will change it. The more you post the more I realize what I believe is true. So THANKS!!! I will leave you to your cartoons and whatever else you feel you must do here, I do have a life! lol
@1arielone At least that cartoon is a social critic to the American Society. A critic to people exactly like you. Better things to do? You mean like watching this conman and believing him? Ok, great life
There's not much more to be said that hasn't already been articulated about edward, but this guy is quite clearly a charlatan of the highest order. If anyone thinks that this tool is in touch with anything beyond his crazed, egomaniacal delusions of grandeur, they need to have their own head examined. The fact that someone like this can have his own show and is given such credibility on national TV speaks to the somber state of our country and our media.
I can't watch this, creeps like that make me physically ill. But I'll make a "psychic prediction": The fat flat-earther, the lady who also believed the christians were the first people on earth, she probably believes that creep too!: (
Do these women ever listen and stop talking! Walters states she does not believe - based on what proof. Shows that she is closed minded. There is no proof for or against, therefore no one can say they believe or do not believe.
Fuck this is so much bullshit, like I fear my Mac will be in pieces just because I need to vent my anger at the array of ignorance and stupidity here.
The biggest douches here are the ones who write belittling comments about people who believe in life after death. They think they're intellectually superior because they have accepted the foolish idea that we're simply a pack of neurons as fact. To these people, even being open minded about communicating with the dead is a mark of stupidity because they firmly believe that once the brain dies, so do we.
YouTube tweens can toss insults, but I've dreamed of 3 people's deaths. Dreamed I walked thru flames with a guy I knew from dance clubs. Woke @dawn, bought a newspaper that reported a gym fire. Man killed by smoke inhalation hadn't been ID'd. Driver's lic found in locker nearby wasn't reported, as cops were not sure it belonged to the dead man. I called morgue & ID'd him by name & a tattoo. Called his best friend w/news who was shocked, as he'd been unable to reach him for 2 days. RIP Scott.
@ebrobaru I could have proved it from police reports. It was too long ago, so I can't dig up the records & photos. It was quite provable. The detectives were shocked too.
The other 2 instances could also have been proved, but too long ago.
Sorry you'll never believe. But it happened. I was a sceptic, but then I "saw" those 3 separate deaths as they happened. I can't explain it.
Wow how lost all of you are! Ive been comunicating with spirit guides for a long time now and when you non belivers cross over you gonna feel stupid you wasted a lifetime being ignorent! John i give you props for being in the limelight and taking so many hits from these sleeping humans!
These stupid talk shows are just as bad as the scammers by promoting this nonsense. He's just here to advertise his book. Do they ever have Kevin Tredeau or Peter Popoff on? That's the problem, the age old scam of "psychic" hocus pocus isn't criticized by the media like it should be. These scammers get a lot more free airtime than Tredeau, likely because they are accepted more among the naive and delusional public.
To All, psychics and mediums do exist. My stepmother is one and it scared the crap out of me when she told me one night. Unfortunately, they do exist. They are ordinary people like the rest of us except they can talk to people in the afterlife. I used to be an aethiest and would have prefered to have stayed an aethiest.
What is so interesting is that I can't find a single video or comment of someone that has been to a reading that doesn't believe in what John Edward does. I only see comments from those that claim he is a fraud but have never really experienced a reading from him. Your opinions would be more credible if you had a personal experience with him and still didn't believe. Just saying....
This guy is the REAL DEAL. He is very down to earth and his suggestion to simply, "meditate and pray" to get in touch with our departed loved ones is right on. I love him.
@litenslick1 You are a completely gullible woman. Ever heard of "cold reading?" John is an expert at it, with years and years of practice. Do some research on the subject (there's loads of it on youtube of how it's done) or you can just simply watch the South Park episode "Biggest Douche in the Universe" if you want it explained in just over twenty minutes.
I don't believe that in the definition of opinion it has "only revelant if based on evidence". Even so, what you interpret as evidence may not be the same as someone else.
"A belief or conclusion held with confidence but not substantiated by positive knowledge or proof" just so we are clear.
@DrIdaho Well I am not suggesting that I am a professional on psychic phenomenon, but I do use my own personal life experiences along with my own research. So we can agree that you use your sources and I use mine. I prefer to view videos and read posts on subjects that I may have an interest in. I am not here to prove anyone a fraud or accuse people of being small minded.
The world needs to know about charlatans and scam artists claiming to have 'supernatural' abilities and making money by lying to the public. As for your opinion, I have said many times that opinions are only relevant when it's based on evidence.
@DrIdaho I am sure that you mean well I just don't happen to agree with your conclusions. I do believe that there are all kinds of people taking advantage of others just don't believe that John Edward is one of them. Maybe if you went to a reading and had your own experience with him you would be more credible. And again your definition of "Opinion" is not listed in the dictionary. So again I respectfully disagree with your conclusions and your opinion on the subject.
" I do believe that there are all kinds of people taking advantage of others just don't believe that John Edward is one of them."
Skeptics have gone to John Edward's shows many times. His misses keep outnumbering his "hits". His "hit" rate has been consistently below 25%. A regular cold reader gets about the same "hit" rate. People think John Edward is genuine because most only remember his "hits" and forget about his misses.
@DrIdaho I have not seen where that information has been publicized. I can't even find a post on any of these videos of anyone that has been to a reading and decided he was a fake or that his "hits" as you see it, are below 25%. I can tell you that I have been twice and his hits were more like 95% correct. In fact he was so specific to information, there is no way he could have know. Watch him on the Cooper Anderson show and listen to what he had to say. Cooper is skeptic with open mind
@DrIdaho 2 people can look at a glass of water and see different things. I may see it as half full and you may see it as half empty. Doesn't mean that only one of us is right, it just means that we look at things differently.
@1arielone " 2 people can look at a glass of water and see different things. "
One side sees the evidence (James Randi, Criss Angel etc) the other ignores it (those that believe James Van Praagh, Alison DuBois, John Edward etc). Go figure.
@DrIdaho lol funny how you mention magicians, they get paid to fool people into believing their tricks, something you accuse John Edward of. As for Alison DuBois, I don't know anything about her, other than the show (and I do realize that is just a show) and I am still skeptical of James Van Praagh but keeping an open mind anyway. If the all mighty Randi was so good he would have already proven John Edwards wrong and cold reading is not it. He is too specific for cold reading.
@1arielone As for Criss Angel, I do like him but again he is just a magician, I haven't seen where he is claiming that John Edward is fake and can do what he does. but your response did give me a chuckle.
@1arielone See how other people BESIDES me knows that this guy is a fake? The fact that the likes of Randi and Angel are "just" magicians make them perfectly quialified to spot trickery. It´s amazing that you doubt JVP but shout that JE is real. They´re both the exact same thing
@ebrobaru Being a magic magician does not qualify someone as proving that John Edward is a fraud. Now if they have gone to a reading or you for that matter and made the determination with an open mind, that is different. I don't know enough about JVP to make a final decision, I have not seen him in person or been to a reading. As for John, I have done my homework and seen him in person. I don't need you to tell me how to THINK! I am not afraid to have an open mind....
@1arielone "Being a magic magician does not qualify someone as proving that John Edward is a fraud."
Yes it does. Charlatans claiming to have real "magical powers" use tricks similar to what illusionists do. The big difference is that illusionists admit that what they do is just illusions.
@DrIdaho lol No is claiming to have magical powers. Maybe you should try a reading and judge for yourself and not let others decide for you. How can you even make that statement when you have never even been? It is like saying you don't like Mexican food but have never tried it, But magician James Randi doesn't like it and says it is bad for you! lol Don't knock it until you have tried it! lol
@1arielone What makes you think that anyone who knows this crap is fake, would waste time and money getting a reading? I don't need to pay that douche $1000 or whatever he charges, to be told that I have a "father figure" (which could mean father, uncle, grand father, brother, teacher, mailman, pizza delivery guy, neighbor friend, etc etc), with a "mnphfft" sounding name, who may have passed (he'll have to ask me if this person passed, since he can talk to the dead but won't know he's dead
@sylviaisgod Your right it wouldn't work for you. You have already made your mind up without really know anything about it. It is like deciding if someone if innocent or guilty by watching the news. But that is your choice. Some people just can't handle the thought there may be something to what John does. Call it fear or closed minded, doesn't matter to me what you want to believe.
@1arielone No it's not fear or being close minded...you idiot fans always use that "close-minded" bullshit as an excuse...why don't you present EVIDENCE that this fraud isn't a complete scam? EVEVRY SINGLE TIME I've watched him, he does the same thing..random guessing..What is so hard for you to understand, that I don't need a personal reading to see he is a douche con artist? All he does is a guessing game, you obviously lack the intelligence to see that.
@1arielone ..(cont)....unless he asks me, pretend this person he didn't know is dead, is now talking to him then he'll guess "something about a car, they're telling me about a car? DId he have a car, or ever ride in a car, or heard about cars?" "And something about water, did he drink water, or know someone who did?" blah blah blah....all random guesses and nonsense. Once again, I DO NOT NEED a personal reading to know it's all BULLSHIT! Now open YOUR mind and see the evidence...He's a FRAUD!
@sylviaisgod wow you are really good!! You must have special powers that you can tell if a person is a fraud by typing the letters on your computer. Good for you. lol I only say that because unless you have seen him in person you can't possibly pass judgement. Oh wait I forgot you are special!
@1arielone You seem to be confused...so what if magicians get paid to do tricks? EVERYONE knows that's what magicians do! Randi even goes so far as to tell people what he does is just tricks (as if he needs to do that) J Edward and the other cons claim what they do is REAL...big difference...and we don't need Randi to prove J Edward wrong, just watch 2 minutes of his show, that's all the proof you need...or you can just read the disclaimer at the end, which tells you it's all fake.
@sylviaisgod I don't have a problem with magicians getting paid, frankly I enjoy a good show. But that does not qualify them as someone to decide if John Edward is a fraud, unless they have had a reading and based their opinion off of their own research and meeting with John. Not by watching a 2 minute video and then yelling fraud. If you want to use them as your credible source more power to you! Anyone here know if there is a God or are you going to claim he is a fraud too?
@1arielone Yes, god is a fraud just like that douche John Edward..now what makes you think people are relying on magicians to tell them that these "psychics" are frauds? I certainly don't...and I have done plenty of research on these con-artists, not just watched a 2 minute video, and the only conclusion anyone with an IQ above retard level can draw, is that this is nothing but a scam. Now go away I have to feed my pet unicorn.
@DrIdaho lol I have seen what Derren Brown does (via videos) and unless he has more to offer than what I have seen, he is nothing like John Edward. Not even close. But I will reserve final opinion because it is not fair to judge him based on a 2 min. video. lol
@DrIdaho well, were are all these skeptics that have been on his show. I have never seen anyone post that they have been on his show and his hits were more misses. I have seen people post that have never been to a show and make these claims. People like yourself. I am surprised that these so called skeptics are not all over the news yelling fraud!! They have to hang out here at his videos and challenge anyone that may have a different OPINION....
@1arielone " were are all these skeptics that have been on his show."
Do you really think that con artists would willingly allow well-known skeptics into their shows? Skeptics who have openly showed their intentions have not been allowed in.
@DrIdaho So every well-known non believer must be in some secret skeptic book that John keeps just in case they try to trick him and attend a reading or show? Seriously, I think you are making excuses. I can see restricting well-known and vocal hecklers being able to attend the show. I have been to several shows and they never asked any information from me on whether I was bringing believers or "well known skeptics". You can be skeptic without being disrespectful to those attending!
@1arielone "So every well-known non believer must be in some secret skeptic book "
"I can see restricting well-known and vocal hecklers being able to attend the show."
Both these comments contradict each other. The first one suggests that skeptics are welcome to these "psychic" shows. The second one suggests vocal, rational thinkers are restricted from attending. As for calling skeptics "hecklers" that's a misrepresentation. Since when is asking logical questions constitute as "heckling"?
@DrIdaho actually they don't. There is a big difference between a skeptic and a heckler. I am not speaking on behalf of the representatives that put on the show. I am merely speculating and trying to respond to your post. I don't see where anyone suggested vocal, rational thinkers are restricted from attending. But don't take my word for it, go see for yourself and then you will be able to comment off of a true experience and not from a 2 min. video.
@1arielone "But don't take my word for it, go see for yourself and then you will be able to comment off of a true experience and not from a 2 min. video."
I was part of an audience (about 100 people) where one like John Edward did an audience "reading". As a rational person would expect the misses clearly outnumbered the "hits". The miss rate is greater than 75%, John Edward has a similar miss rate.
@DrIdaho ok I'm confused. Are you actually saying that you have been to a reading with John Edward?? Your post is a little vague for me to even attempt to comment on.
@1arielone It's clear that Dridaho went to a reading by someone other than John Edward....of course you'll just reply back that whomever did the reading was a scammer but JE is the real deal.
@sylviaisgod I'm sorry I'm not sure why you are par taking in this post. Do you have something you want to share or are you just trying to spar with me. If so, I am not interested in playing your games. I am sure there are plenty of people here that would love to spar with you!
As for claiming someone a "scammer", not my call. I don't have enough information to make such claims. I like to gather my information before passing judgement.
@1arielone I'm just trying to convince J Scamward's fans that he is a con artist, so hopefully enough of them will see the light and stop supporting his ruse, and be forced to go bankrupt. Not that I really care if you waste your money on hime, I just hate seeing him get rich off of the suckers out there. He's no better than those Nigerian scammers as far as I'm concerned. And, since this is an open forum, I feel free to get in on anyone's post I feel like. OK I have to go feed my unicorn now.
@sylviaisgod Well you are going about it all wrong. If you want anyone to take your comments seriously I would highly recommend you change your tone and post with a little more respect. I personally find your posts insulting. Those "suckers" as you call them are hard working people that may have lost loved ones and I'm pretty sure your "hatred" comments are not working on them. Open forum or not have a little respect. Now you can go play with your unicorn!
@1arielone I just can't show respect to anyone who believes that traveling hundreds or thousands of miles, to pay money to a fast-talking huckster who claims to talk to the dead with a rapid-fire sortie of random guesses, is anything but a fraud. J Edward belongs in prison with the other scammers.
@sylviaisgod "It's clear that Dridaho went to a reading by someone other than John Edward....of course you'll just reply back that whomever did the reading was a scammer but JE is the real deal."
That's correct. I went to a reading conducted by someone whose "reading" is similar to John Edward's. Like Edward she made generalized statements that gullible people fell for. The gullible ones only remembered the "hits" and forget the misses (which was about 75%).
@sylviaisgod "It's clear that Dridaho went to a reading by someone other than John Edward....of course you'll just reply back that whomever did the reading was a scammer but JE is the real deal."
I'm expecting 1arielone to say JE is the "real deal", even though skeptics who have been on his shows clearly noticed his misses rate at about 75% and higher.
@sylviaisgod Wow aren't you a little judgmental...... you know nothing about me to be making such comments. If you want people to take what you post seriously, you need to be a little open minded to other opinions and not lash out at those that may not agree with you. We may not agree on topics but I'm not going to call you names. I think we can all remain civil and behave responsibly and still make a point.
@1arielone Well, it's hard for me to remain civil when people like you support a con artist who suckers grieving people out of their hard earned money...and contrary to what you say, I DO know something about you..it appears you believe that a fast-talking huckster can talk to the dead (for a fee), instead of the dead talking directly to you, and that the dead mumble their names, but after that can speak in complete sentences...and someone who realizes it's a scam is somehow closed-minded.
@1arielone "funny how you mention magicians, they get paid to fool people into believing their tricks, something you accuse John Edward of."
The difference between illusionists like James Randi, Criss Angel, Derren Brown et al and John Edward is that illusionists keep reminding everyone that what they do is just an illusion. This as opposed to John Edward who keeps insisting that what he does is real supernatural stuff.
I've heard this Gary Schwartz. His research into psychics is questionable at best. Test subjects used in the experiments were pre-disposed to believing people like John Edward and Allison DuBois are really psychic. This was pointed out by psychologist Ray Hyman. Hyman is proficient as an illusionist (often referred to as magician). So not surprisingly Hyman can tell if someone claiming to have supernatural abilities is actually a charlatan.
@DrIdaho well I am not going to take a magician's word over the research from the University studies. I guess everyone has their own opinion. But he continues to be asked on shows like Dr. Oz, The View, Cooper Anderson etc. and I don't see them calling him a fraud! Maybe there is something to what he says. I guess you have to see it for yourself, don't take anyone else's word for it!
I DID say that Ray Hyman is a psychologist as well as an illusionist. It sounds like you placed too much emphasis on Hyman being an illusionist in an attempt to 'discredit' him. As a RESEARCH PSYCHOLOGIST with skills as an illusionist Hyman is able to tell if someone is a charlatan pretending to have magical abilities.
@DrIdaho I didn't see where this Ray Hyman has had any personal contact or experiences with John Edward to make his determinations. I guess we can agree to disagree. You can sight your sources and I can sight mine. It all goes back to what your own personal belief and experiences are for you. I don't pretend to have all the answers, I just know what I believe in and it is definitely not the same as you. That doesn't mean we are wrong, just different opinions.
An opinion is only relevant if it's based on evidence. Psychologists such as Ray Hyman, Richard Wiseman, James Alcock et al continue to conduct and replicate experiments to determine if anyone actually has supernatural abilities. No evidence has been found on this.
Dr. Oz had John on his show and I went to read all the wonderful and enlightening comments left by so many people that John has helped deal with their lost loved ones. And yes there are a few uneducated and rude comments but most of them were all positive and shows that John has helped many many people. I have been to 2 of his shows and it is a peaceful and beautiful experience, whether you are read or not! I have not seen anyone say after seeing John that they felt he was a fraud!
There will always be believers and non believers. But don't take anyone's word for it. See for yourself. Get a reading and then make up your own mind based on your own personal experience. Believe or not it is a matter of choice.
I'd like to fuck Joy.

udaychatterjee 3 weeks ago
So there are lots of ways that someone could expose him and prove you haters are correct that he is a fraud and yet no one is able to do it. Don't you find it interesting that he is still touring, invited on the Dr. Phil Show, Dr. Oz show, The View, GMA and countless other shows and they haven't been able to prove him to be a fraud. He continues to be more popular than ever. And I still can't find anyone that has had a reading and claims he is a fraud. Go figure that one!

everybody has the ability to be psychic...not, this asshole uses a technique called cold reading
ilovebewbz101 1 month ago
I have seen him twice and he is amazing. People have the right to believe whatever they want but unless you have experienced a reading by John yourself it is difficult to understand how you can judge. Keep an open but skeptical mind without being so cynical and you may be surprised.
1arielone 1 month ago
@1arielone Actually it´s not. Once you know the tricks nad techniques he uses, you don´t actually need to see him in person to spot the fake
ebrobaru 1 month ago
@ebrobaru lol are you still here???? I can't believe you are still here and you don't have anything new..... I have already heard you try to explain how you believe he does his readings and I still don't buy it. Sorry but I have to say that I have seen him in person and you are absolutely 100% wrong. Not cold reading, not parlor tricks.
1arielone 1 month ago
@1arielone I am still here and the facts remain the same. He is a fraud. I guess you don´t get the concept of publicity even if bad one, that explain his "tours" and guest appearances at these "highly critical" shows. Sigh!!
I guess you don´t look very hard. Anyone that really thinks it over can see that his readings are fake.
ebrobaru 1 month ago
@ebrobaru you are confused here. I am not the one trying to discredit him, you are. I have the answers and information that I need. Therefore I am not going to waste my time looking for negative information that I don't need or believe. I just find it funny that you spend so much time hanging out at these videos trying to convince people he is a fake. It just seems like there are better and more positive things for you to do. So much wasted energy.... you still have no FACTS.....
1arielone 1 month ago
@1arielone If you have the asnwers you need good for you, but that doesn´t make him real at all. I am not trying to convince anyone that he is fake. Facts speak for themselves. And, no, it´s not wasted energy. Actually it´s refreshing.

1arielone 1 month ago
@1arielone Saying facts is not saying negative things. Unless of course, that the truth for you is to hard to grasp

@ebrobaru well when you have some facts bring it on. Your gibberish is not the truth but your fear of what you know nothing about is LOUD and CLEAR. It is like a silly game for you.

NOTHING...
1arielone 3 weeks ago
@1arielone Everybody with a proper head knows that psychics are fake. But there are especially two that have been exposed over and over and their credibility is 0, Sylvia Browne and your hero. It´s sad really. Are you sure you don´t work for him?
ebrobaru 3 weeks ago
@ebrobaru Wow I didn't realize that you were such an expert on psychics. I don't really follow that much on Sylvia Browne so I don't really have a comment on her but as for John your claims are false. You have no evidence that John has been proven a fake. Just look at the videos. He is even more popular today and continues to be invited on shows like Dr. Phil, Dr. Oz, Oprah, The View, GMA, and the list goes on and on. You should show them your evidence......
1arielone 3 weeks ago
@1arielone Yes I am an expert. Strange that you love osychics and don´t know Browne. You are not missing anything, same nonsense. Yes, I ahve evidence and I have shown it to you repeteadly. The fact that you just wont admit it is another thing. Magicians are also invited over and over to those (by the way, not exactly bastions for critical thinking) shows. That doesn´t make what they do real. Those shows peddle all sorts of nonsense, but I guess as a regular viewer you are the perfect target
ebrobaru 3 weeks ago
@ebrobaru expert lol!!! I never said I loved psychics and never said I didn't know anything about Silvia Browne. OMGosh you are funny. You can't continue to say you have evidence when you don't. You are only fooling yourself... These shows would be the first to expose any frauds, if that was the case. They do it all the time. So if John was exposed, as you say, these shows would not be inviting him as a guest but as a fraud. Don't you have anything else to do? Board........
1arielone 3 weeks ago
@ebrobaru just so we are straight here. I do believe that there are frauds out there. Lots of them. Just don't believe that John is one of them. And NO ONE, NO ONE has ever PROVED that he is a fraud on national TV or anywhere else. Saying he is a fraud does not make it so. My belief system is not the same as yours and we will never agree on this subject. I believe in GOD and yet there is no real proof he even exists, yet millions and millions of people believe in him!
1arielone 3 weeks ago
@1arielone These shows would expose him? Are you kidding? These shows that promote all kind of nonsense? Ok sure. Now I see where do you get your sense of reality from. The comparison to believing in God is useless because then it falls on the realm of religion and faith. Faith is beleieving something without any proof. Of course if you believe in him just on faith, then there is nothing else to discuss. It´s a moot point
ebrobaru 3 weeks ago
@ebrobaru lol You can twist and turn whatever I say around to fit your needs. But yes I do believe in GOD and as far as I know there is no scientific proof that he exists. I believe in John Edward by facts on what I have seen for myself. What John does is validated by every person he reads. If you don't believe me then go see for yourself. I will buy the ticket! but of course you would never do that......
1arielone 3 weeks ago
@1arielone Will you buy me a ticket to see that douche? He's coming to my area soon, and charges $145 per ticket, so if you can cover that, plus gas, parking, and 4 hours of my life I'll never get back, I'd be willing to go. I am willing to refund double that money to you, if he convinces me he's real. So you have nothing to lose.

Now don't you have some crystals to polish?

That's the problem, the age old scam of "psychic" hocus pocus isn't criticized by the media like it should be. These scammers get a lot more free airtime than Tredeau, likely because they are accepted more among the naive and delusional public.

I don't believe that in the definition of opinion it has "only revelant if based on evidence". Even so, what you interpret as evidence may not be the same as someone else.
"A belief or conclusion held with confidence but not substantiated by positive knowledge or proof" just so we are clear.
1arielone 3 months ago
@1arielone "Even so, what you interpret as evidence may not be the same as someone else."
I rely on evidence that's open to peer-review and can be replicated over and over again.
DrIdaho 3 months ago
@DrIdaho Well I am not suggesting that I am a professional on psychic phenomenon, but I do use my own personal life experiences along with my own research. So we can agree that you use your sources and I use mine. I prefer to view videos and read posts on subjects that I may have an interest in. I am not here to prove anyone a fraud or accuse people of being small minded.
1arielone 3 months ago
@1arielone "but I do use my own personal life experiences"
Sounds like you've been tricked by charlatans over and over again.
DrIdaho 3 months ago
@DrIdaho lol again our opinion! As you know nothing about me or my life experiences. So tell me, why do you hang out at this "Charlatans" video??
1arielone 3 months ago
@1arielone
The world needs to know about charlatans and scam artists claiming to have 'supernatural' abilities and making money by lying to the public. As for your opinion, I have said many times that opinions are only relevant when it's based on evidence.
DrIdaho 3 months ago
@DrIdaho I am sure that you mean well I just don't happen to agree with your conclusions. I do believe that there are all kinds of people taking advantage of others just don't believe that John Edward is one of them. Maybe if you went to a reading and had your own experience with him you would be more credible. And again your definition of "Opinion" is not listed in the dictionary. So again I respectfully disagree with your conclusions and your opinion on the subject.
1arielone 3 months ago
@1arielone
DrIdaho 3 months ago

1arielone 3 months ago
@1arielone " 2 people can look at a glass of water and see different things. "
One side sees the evidence (James Randi, Criss Angel etc) the other ignores it (those that believe James Van Praagh, Alison DuBois, John Edward etc). Go figure.
DrIdaho 3 months ago
@DrIdaho lol funny how you mention magicians, they get paid to fool people into believing their tricks, something you accuse John Edward of. As for Alison DuBois, I don't know anything about her, other than the show (and I do realize that is just a show) and I am still skeptical of James Van Praagh but keeping an open mind anyway. If the all mighty Randi was so good he would have already proven John Edwards wrong and cold reading is not it. He is too specific for cold reading.
1arielone 3 months ago
@1arielone As for Criss Angel, I do like him but again he is just a magician, I haven't seen where he is claiming that John Edward is fake and can do what he does. but your response did give me a chuckle.
1arielone 3 months ago
@1arielone See how other people BESIDES me knows that this guy is a fake? The fact that the likes of Randi and Angel are "just" magicians make them perfectly quialified to spot trickery. It´s amazing that you doubt JVP but shout that JE is real. They´re both the exact same thing
ebrobaru 3 months ago
@ebrobaru Being a magic magician does not qualify someone as proving that John Edward is a fraud. Now if they have gone to a reading or you for that matter and made the determination with an open mind, that is different. I don't know enough about JVP to make a final decision, I have not seen him in person or been to a reading. As for John, I have done my homework and seen him in person. I don't need you to tell me how to THINK! I am not afraid to have an open mind....
1arielone 3 months ago
@1arielone "Being a magic magician does not qualify someone as proving that John Edward is a fraud."
Yes it does. Charlatans claiming to have real "magical powers" use tricks similar to what illusionists do. The big difference is that illusionists admit that what they do is just illusions.
DrIdaho 3 months ago
@DrIdaho lol No is claiming to have magical powers. Maybe you should try a reading and judge for yourself and not let others decide for you. How can you even make that statement when you have never even been? It is like saying you don't like Mexican food but have never tried it, But magician James Randi doesn't like it and says it is bad for you! lol Don't knock it until you have tried it! lol
1arielone 3 months ago
@1arielone What makes you think that anyone who knows this crap is fake, would waste time and money getting a reading? I don't need to pay that douche $1000 or whatever he charges, to be told that I have a "father figure" (which could mean father, uncle, grand father, brother, teacher, mailman, pizza delivery guy, neighbor friend, etc etc), with a "mnphfft" sounding name, who may have passed (he'll have to ask me if this person passed, since he can talk to the dead but won't know he's dead

All he does is a guessing game, you obviously lack the intelligence to see that.

@1arielone "Call it fear or closed minded, doesn't matter to me what you want to believe."
Close-minded involves ignoring the evidence. In John Edward's case the evidence that his "psychic" readings have more misses than "hits".
DrIdaho 3 months ago
@1arielone ..(cont)....unless he asks me, pretend this person he didn't know is dead, is now talking to him then he'll guess "something about a car, they're telling me about a car? DId he have a car, or ever ride in a car, or heard about cars?" "And something about water, did he drink water, or know someone who did?" blah blah blah....all random guesses and nonsense. Once again, I DO NOT NEED a personal reading to know it's all BULLSHIT! Now open YOUR mind and see the evidence...He's a FRAUD!
sylviaisgod 3 months ago
@sylviaisgod wow you are really good!! You must have special powers that you can tell if a person is a fraud by typing the letters on your computer. Good for you. lol I only say that because unless you have seen him in person you can't possibly pass judgement. Oh wait I forgot you are special!

@1arielone "Maybe you should try a reading and judge for yourself and not let others decide for you."
I did have a "reading" in the past. It was very inaccurate.

@1arielone "As for Criss Angel, I do like him but again he is just a magician, I haven't seen where he is claiming that John Edward is fake"
I never said Criss Angel claimed John Edward is a fake. Criss Angel tested self-proclaimed "paranormalist" Jim Callahan.
DrIdaho 3 months ago
@1arielone You seem to be confused...so what if magicians get paid to do tricks? EVERYONE knows that's what magicians do! Randi even goes so far as to tell people what he does is just tricks (as if he needs to do that) J Edward and the other cons claim what they do is REAL...big difference...and we don't need Randi to prove J Edward wrong, just watch 2 minutes of his show, that's all the proof you need...or you can just read the disclaimer at the end, which tells you it's all fake.
sylviaisgod 3 months ago
@sylviaisgod I don't have a problem with magicians getting paid, frankly I enjoy a good show. But that does not qualify them as someone to decide if John Edward is a fraud, unless they have had a reading and based their opinion off of their own research and meeting with John. Not by watching a 2 minute video and then yelling fraud. If you want to use them as your credible source more power to you! Anyone here know if there is a God or are you going to claim he is a fraud too?
1arielone 3 months ago
@1arielone Yes, god is a fraud just like that douche John Edward..now what makes you think people are relying on magicians to tell them that these "psychics" are frauds? I certainly don't...and I have done plenty of research on these con-artists, not just watched a 2 minute video, and the only conclusion anyone with an IQ above retard level can draw, is that this is nothing but a scam. Now go away I have to feed my pet unicorn.

@sylviaisgod "we don't need Randi to prove J Edward wrong, just watch 2 minutes of his show, that's all the proof you need..."
Illusionist Derren Brown has done cold-reading on people and gets similar results like John Edward.
DrIdaho 3 months ago
@DrIdaho lol I have seen what Derren Brown does (via videos) and unless he has more to offer than what I have seen, he is nothing like John Edward. Not even close. But I will reserve final opinion because it is not fair to judge him based on a 2 min. video. lol
1arielone 3 months ago
@1arielone
John Edward is a cold reader. Skeptics who've been on his shows keep recording more misses than alleged "hits".
DrIdaho 3 months ago
@DrIdaho well, were are all these skeptics that have been on his show. I have never seen anyone post that they have been on his show and his hits were more misses. I have seen people post that have never been to a show and make these claims. People like yourself. I am surprised that these so called skeptics are not all over the news yelling fraud!! They have to hang out here at his videos and challenge anyone that may have a different OPINION....
1arielone 3 months ago
@1arielone " were are all these skeptics that have been on his show."
Do you really think that con artists would willingly allow well-known skeptics into their shows? Skeptics who have openly showed their intentions have not been allowed in.
DrIdaho 3 months ago
@DrIdaho So every well-known non believer must be in some secret skeptic book that John keeps just in case they try to trick him and attend a reading or show? Seriously, I think you are making excuses. I can see restricting well-known and vocal hecklers being able to attend the show. I have been to several shows and they never asked any information from me on whether I was bringing believers or "well known skeptics". You can be skeptic without being disrespectful to those attending!
1arielone 3 months ago
@1arielone "So every well-known non believer must be in some secret skeptic book "
"I can see restricting well-known and vocal hecklers being able to attend the show."
Both these comments contradict each other. The first one suggests that skeptics are welcome to these "psychic" shows. The second one suggests vocal, rational thinkers are restricted from attending. As for calling skeptics "hecklers" that's a misrepresentation. Since when is asking logical questions constitute as "heckling"?
DrIdaho 3 months ago
@DrIdaho actually they don't. There is a big difference between a skeptic and a heckler. I am not speaking on behalf of the representatives that put on the show. I am merely speculating and trying to respond to your post. I don't see where anyone suggested vocal, rational thinkers are restricted from attending. But don't take my word for it, go see for yourself and then you will be able to comment off of a true experience and not from a 2 min. video.
1arielone 3 months ago
@1arielone "But don't take my word for it, go see for yourself and then you will be able to comment off of a true experience and not from a 2 min. video."
I was part of an audience (about 100 people) where one like John Edward did an audience "reading". As a rational person would expect the misses clearly outnumbered the "hits". The miss rate is greater than 75%, John Edward has a similar miss rate.
DrIdaho 3 months ago
@DrIdaho ok I'm confused. Are you actually saying that you have been to a reading with John Edward?? Your post is a little vague for me to even attempt to comment on.
1arielone 3 months ago
@1arielone It's clear that Dridaho went to a reading by someone other than John Edward....of course you'll just reply back that whomever did the reading was a scammer but JE is the real deal.
sylviaisgod 3 months ago 2
@sylviaisgod I'm sorry I'm not sure why you are par taking in this post. Do you have something you want to share or are you just trying to spar with me. If so, I am not interested in playing your games. I am sure there are plenty of people here that would love to spar with you!
As for claiming someone a "scammer", not my call. I don't have enough information to make such claims. I like to gather my information before passing judgement.
1arielone 3 months ago
@1arielone I'm just trying to convince J Scamward's fans that he is a con artist, so hopefully enough of them will see the light and stop supporting his ruse, and be forced to go bankrupt. Not that I really care if you waste your money on hime, I just hate seeing him get rich off of the suckers out there. He's no better than those Nigerian scammers as far as I'm concerned. And, since this is an open forum, I feel free to get in on anyone's post I feel like. OK I have to go feed my unicorn now.
sylviaisgod 3 months ago 3

That's correct. I went to a reading conducted by someone whose "reading" is similar to John Edward's. Like Edward she made generalized statements that gullible people fell for. The gullible ones only remembered the "hits" and forget the misses (which was about 75%).

I'm expecting 1arielone to say JE is the "real deal", even though skeptics who have been on his shows clearly noticed his misses rate at about 75% and higher.

@DrIdaho Well then prove me wrong and sign up to attend and see if they let you in! I think you will be very surprised.

@1arielone You either work for John Scamward, or are a total lunatic for believing this nonsense ...which is it?
sylviaisgod 3 months ago
@sylviaisgod Wow aren't you a little judgmental...... you know nothing about me to be making such comments. If you want people to take what you post seriously, you need to be a little open minded to other opinions and not lash out at those that may not agree with you. We may not agree on topics but I'm not going to call you names. I think we can all remain civil and behave responsibly and still make a point.
1arielone 3 months ago
@1arielone Well, it's hard for me to remain civil when people like you support a con artist who suckers grieving people out of their hard earned money...and contrary to what you say, I DO know something about you..it appears you believe that a fast-talking huckster can talk to the dead (for a fee), instead of the dead talking directly to you, and that the dead mumble their names, but after that can speak in complete sentences...and someone who realizes it's a scam is somehow closed-minded.

John Edward doesn't come to my area very often.

DrIdaho 4 months ago
@DrIdaho well I am not going to take a magician's word over the research from the University studies. I guess everyone has their own opinion. But he continues to be asked on shows like Dr. Oz, The View, Cooper Anderson etc. and I don't see them calling him a fraud! Maybe there is something to what he says. I guess you have to see it for yourself, don't take anyone else's word for it!
1arielone 3 months ago
@1arielone
DrIdaho 3 months ago
@DrIdaho I didn't see where this Ray Hyman has had any personal contact or experiences with John Edward to make his determinations. I guess we can agree to disagree. You can sight your sources and I can sight mine. It all goes back to what your own personal belief and experiences are for you. I don't pretend to have all the answers, I just know what I believe in and it is definitely not the same as you. That doesn't mean we are wrong, just different opinions.
1arielone 3 months ago
@1arielone
" I guess we can agree to disagree."

"Dr Oz (and I!) were totally impressed by how many details John Edward got right… in fact, he got nothing at all wrong."
Posted on the Dr. Oz website after he had John Edward as a guest on his show. Just something to think about.

There will always be believers and non believers. But don't take anyone's word for it. See for yourself. Get a reading and then make up your own mind based on your own personal experience. Believe or not it is a matter of choice.
