You have to bear in mind he was trying to prove something to Ray in season 1, so it could have driven him to be stronger back then.

I agree. But they haven't done it, cause the toys are out of the market. And animating Beyblade costs a lot. So it means, we never may see Beyblade on ''legal and trademarked'' old school Beyblades. Although they are bringing this ''Metal Fight Beyblade'' Out. So, new toys, spending money etc. Only problem is, it doesn't have any connection to old Beyblade, no charecters, no BBA etc..
