I don't think he was holding the steering wheel. At around 0:23 - 0:24 he reaches for the steering wheel. Maybe they didn't line it up correctly on the dyno?
It is called "torque steer" where there is so much torque that it causes the wheels to turn. No dyno technician or tester would ever turn the steering wheel like that.
I'm not sure of the HP this thing is making, but it is the real deal (has been for years). This is Australias fastest GTR. I think Croydon Rracing Developments built it.
your an idiot. when the turbo spools up and all the power finally breaks free, its almost uncontrollable, there are alot of variations that can change at that power level.
no doubt that it can become uncontrollable, but take a look at 0:22 the car raises slightly to the right (LOOKING like it was going to come off the dyno) but then the guy's hand pulls the steering down.
download it & replay it in slow motion with whatever program you have.
Okay first of all, this whole exaggeration has been compromised! Look at :23 when the guy steers the wheels out of the rollers! You can clearly see that the car is running just fine, and then the guy jerks the steering wheel to exaggerate a false impression of that car's power! Nice try, but I caught ya! ;)
it looks like the rollers are abit to low on the tyre? and its not strapped down at the front either so it gives the front suspension opourtunity to travel and gradually creep off the rollers? id say that was a fair crack as to why it happened? lol

JUN 2.7L stroker, twin Veilside GT3542 turbos, nitrous, Gforce airshifted box (not in this shot) approx 1000kw....it hasnt been out at all in the last couple of years, but is being built RIGHT NOW, ready to come back. apparently some say Mario Tobarac spent near on a million to get it there, n thats not counting its current comeback mods.

no the panels are off beacuse when the car is on the dyno there no air flowing over heated parts. so the fans at the front help keep everything cool and the panels are off to let the air flow more freely. =]
All that would usually be required is to have air flow to the engine...taking any other panels off wouldnt make much of a difference...think about it..why would they take the bloody doors off to keep the engine cool? :p

The weight would not affect the hp the car is making. The weight would affect the speed, hence the term "power to weight ration".

power to weight affects acceleration*. top speed is limited by drag vs hp, or redline depending on the gears. weight will only kill top speed in slower shit, like go karts or civics
