I noticed a woman preacher. Isn't there somewhere in the bible that says women are supposed to be "meek and quiet"? Or as James Layman(revivalisneeded) says a lot, "women are to be at home, make babies, and do the dishes"
"Be not yoked with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?" (II Corinthians 6:14)
"Come out from among them and be ye separate, saith the Lord." (II Corinthians 6:17)
"And be ye not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." (Romans 12:2)
That's why there is so much reported incest amongst them. Living without stuff does not make one righteous nor does wearing a bonnet. Sorry. It is only the blood of Jesus that can accomplish that through faith.
Neo-conservative American christians fail to realize that they are infact, every day, contributing to sin and immorality. Our very society and culture are built on the propagation of such. Computers are constructed by underpaying workers who toil themselves to the point of physical injury whilst those reaping the profit perform no manual labor whatsoever. Just by using a computer, you too, are as sinful as those you judge.
You really need to read your Bible a little more carefully next time. See 1 Cor 5:9-10 Also please know that the majority of people that we talk to that are fornicating, drunk, into pornography, homosexual and so forth are professing Christians.
Yes, however, I am certain that the people who own the corporation that sold you your computer, and thus acquire profit (a means to facilitate their sinful action), are also fornicating drunkards.
Is it not a sin to provide them with the means to engage in such behavior?
And alternatively, if you should claim to use a public computer or have acquired one through good will, I seriously doubt that all of your actions are removed from the propagation of US market culture which facilitates and promotes the very actions you protest.
And your point is? I suppose I would have to starve to death as well because there are drunkards and fornicators who work for the grocery store. You really need to read your Bible. See the book of Galatians.
11 But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler—not even to eat with such a one.
12 For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge?
13 God judges [2] those outside. "Purge the evil person from among you."
You really truly need to read your Bible! and to understand that we would have to go completely out of the world (which is the part you conveniently left out of the above quotes) and Paul said was not what he was saying. vs. 1 Cor 5:10. Do you hang out with believers that are in known sin? If so, don't do it anymore.
I accept that I am in sin in this instance, but do not declare such a state of sinfulness to be inescapable, I know of the routes to escape such sin, as I proposed, communal living and the life of a monk are the only adequate ways to escape from this sin.
Outside of your associations to those people that you preach to you are most certainly associating with others of the same nature. Simply purchasing gasoline places you in an association with those you have been commanded to purge from among you.
He was talking about the church and not to allow sin in the church. He is not talking about being a monk. Monastaries, bonnets, standards, laws, or any other bondage you want to put people under does not make you righteous. But we can be free from sin through the power of the Holy Spirit and the blood of Jesus Christ.
The Bible clearly states that only a small few shall pass into heaven, and clearly, from the numbers of those who truly obey God's commands, such is evident.
People judge every day. In fact, you are judging in this letter. What we are doing is warning you of a greater judgment. The God you have been taught is not God Almighty. He will give you power to overcome the sin He hates.
Like so many others, you have probably been taught some things about Jesus that are not true. He would never get drunk and He was firm with many people. Even with the woman caught in adultery, He said, "Go and sin no more." He did not say, "I am getting ready to gloss over your sin so that you can do it every day." God is not going to allow people to pollulte heaven with their sin. We have liberty in Christ but not liberty to sin.

The bible itself warns of the sin I speak of:
"Be not yoked with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?" (II Corinthians 6:14)
"Come out from among them and be ye separate, saith the Lord." (II Corinthians 6:17)

The only righteous society in America is that of the Amish peoples, only they have removed themselves from the sin of our market culture.

If one is to love God and Jesus, they must obey his commandments.

Cannot you not till your own land and prepare your own foods through the means of your labor?

And also concerning the context of 1 Cor 5:9-10, the verses immediately following that 1 Cor 5:11-13 expound
the very same idea I speak of, particularly if those you are preaching to are professing to be Christians:

Tap into the Holy Spirit's power by faith, believing He is powerful enough to deliver you from sin. Just ask!

Matthew 7:13-14
-Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
-Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Isn't this amazingly nonsensical? Think of this analogy: You're a smoker who quit, and as a result, you are now healthier.
And then, when you try to get other smokers to quit smoking, they attack you, saying, "You're just as unhealthy as us! Who are you to judge?"
Why do people think Christians are "judging," when they're only helping them?
