@johnadamsyt , finance and economics degree will be very helpful and you will see things you already know in the curriculum. But hey, it isnt that hard really, as long as you study 250 hours i believe you will have a 90% chance of passing. study 200 and mb a 70% chance of passing. In my opinion, the fail rate is high because people study around 150. You have to spend some bucks and get either the stalla or schweiser program, i only used the actual cfa books for extra questions. (i used stalla)
@johnadamsyt , i graduated from mcgill in accountancy and became a chartered accountant (CA in canada whcih is like a CPA in the states) in the time between i passed level 1 and 2 of the cfa.
@fnahar Yes, it's the Direct Energy Centre in Toronto. I wrote it this past June and it was slightly different. I don't remember having to queue up outside the hall
i failed :) sad

I'm starting level 1 next year and my research into the program tells me there is a 38% pass rate and that scares but won't stop me.

@peacemakerblue1 Was it hard? What qualifications did you do before the CFA? I have a Finance and Economics degree, will that help to do the CFA?
