  • this is genius, where can i buy one?

  • Tap tempo or any way to set the speed without spinning nobs?

  • nice, very digitally sounding. loved it. i know for sure it is a circuit bent not even stock. I bet you have a very good electronics background mate. cheers Electronics Rule

  • You guys can laugh, but if this was a "premier" pedal on a proguitarshop demo so many disillusioned tards would whip out their credit cards.

  • absolutely AWESOME pedal, absolutely PATHETIC demo.

  • fucking left handed guitars - god they are ugly

  • great product ! what happens if you play chords with this ?

  • I think that if i were buying it, i'd use it just to make noise! Funny!

  • good for beginners and some that cant study how to play arpeggios...

but the most fun you can do with guitar is to play arpeggios alone,

not a pedal that does all the work for you.

  • Does it work with bass too, or will it not pick up low notes?

  • @jezuz12345 The RollerShifter engine is independent of the guitar frequency. It will "arpeggiate" also the lowest note you will play.

  • Cool, I felt like I was playing my Atari 2600!

  • All these arpeggiators are like $200-300? why the fuk?

for that price you can get a low end laptop, or a XBOX, or PS3.

    iPhone, etc etc.

how do these companies think ANY pedal is worth that.

  • @samljer A lot of people here just want a good piece of gear that inspires them to create some great music, and don't really give a fuck about iphones or video games. So there you go!

  • @uverdadeiro you totally need to reread that post., so there you go.

  • i think i heard a riff somehow similar to floyd's on the run?

  • i want a 'love' button for this video. definitely ordering sometime this summer. 130E is very reasonable

  • Ceci est un des effets les plus originaux que j'ai vu ces dernières années ! Très bonne idée !! Super demo au fait !!

  • lol.. playing guitar doesnt require skill anymore XD

  • This is brilliant! Do you still make the modules?

  • @doogdoogdoog i emailed him through the site and he says he still makes them, but is also working on a replacement version that will be enhanced and not based on the line 6 base. i dont know if the price will go up by more than he expects though if he is designing it by himself, then again he is a resourceful engineering student/grad who will put in the time needed to make a good product. one feature he mentioned adding had to do with better live control, with an expression pedal maybe

  • @tyrannicoystercult Excellent, thanks for that! I'll have to start saving my pennies..

  • is this a joke?

  • Though I will say, using it THAT slowly is a cheap trick. But sounds great at high speeds. If the rate was barred so you couldn't go slow it'd be cool hahaha.

  • UM.. I hate to burst anybody's bubble.. but couldn't ya just PLAY those arpeggios

rather than having a pedal do it for ya ?? I mean..really !!

  • @timjmoran Try play arpeggios. It's easier to simulate it and monitor which chord/notes you play then have to do the whole thing in progression. Especially if you aren't great or willing to spend a lot of time learning to do arpeggios (nice talent, but time time time)

  • I don't think this is supposed to be this 'talent-simulator' you're all making it out to be, moreso something for musicians to get something that sounds the way they envisage. A musician would understand what I'm saying. It's just a way of getting something you otherwise couldn't get.

  • I don't see why everyone is making this out to be some sort of pedal that can make a bad guitarist sound good. It's blatantly obvious from the sound of the pedal that it's not a real player playing an arpeggio. It's a great piece of kit if you want to add effects to your guitar that not even the best of the best guitarists could do, like the mental octave arpeggios at high speeds.

  • This would be fun with loads of reverb.

  • or you could just learn the fucking arpeggios NOOB

  • I want this pedal for the laughs XD

  • well for stuff normal, talented guitarists can play easily its useless but the other effects like the "speed" knob are awesome cause they sound so brainticklingly electric :)

  • 1:16 ...Midgets.

  • ...Then you already sound like a tool.

  • Yup. Why not just learn play? Although if you played like this thing sounds.z

  • only a douche with no imagination would think this is a "talent simulator". Its an effects pedal and if you think that being about to play triplets and arpeggios at lighting speed equals talent then you are also a shallow loser as well. Sweet pedal guys.

  • People watch to the end. This isn't a talent simulator, it is an amazing effect. Yes, you can fake shredding but there is so much more this can do. Like the octave effect at the end.

  • this pedal is for tools

  • @ihventura Thus speaks the voice of experience.

  • @RaidenNoKishi Well actually playing arpeggios is good, but some of this thaing can add the octaves and can play them inhumanly fast. That's what I'd use it for atleast, complete madness and random noise generation.

  • awesome pedal but you sound like a dork and youre left handed.

  • The major and minor arpeggios - Are they just triads?

  • Cool effect, you should call it the nintendo pedal!

  • where can i get this thing¿

  • @dinkymau You can find all the information on my website pk effects dot com

  • where can you buy this pedal? I don't see it ANYWHERE!??? Thanks. Great demo!

  • @ruk777 You can find all the information on my website pk effects dot com

  • Muse - Map of the Problamatique! This is the effect they used on the intro to the song...although, I believe they used Guitar Rig 3's "pitch pedal" in conjunction with a sequencer/arpeggiator.

  • you have an awesome accent.

  • your a genious but what was line 6 thinking when they made this

  • Hmmm take a look at my video. More of a Muse-y arpeggiator effect that I made with a few of my stomp boxes!

  • Sounds pretty nice but I would get bored pretty fast. What I would aim at would be lovetone arpeggiator or Death by Audio stuff.

  • Great Device you have created, it's awesome to see people building their own effects and not just emulating all the stuff out there. Imagine that - people can be original...You could get some great recording effects with this.

  • SRV is probably turning in his grave looking at this tripe.

  • Where are you getting your distortion from? Are you using another distortion pedal before it?

  • @wetcrevice : The distortion is coming from the amp. The signal chain was: Guitar-> RollerShifter -> Amp -> Computer.

  • Check out the Motlen Mid 2 pedal. It does arpeggiating with a Whammy Pedal, with many more options.

  • @guitarvangelist : I will not say many more option. Just different options. For arpeggiating things, the Molten Mid 2 has a limitation because it's limited to 16 steps. The RollerShifter let you shape the arpeggio with other parameters so it can generates different arpeggio more intuitively.

  • man you could brain wash people with that pedal lmao.........

  • Hey, you could do all of the backing keyboard parts for Muse and not need to drag a keyboardist around. Sweet use of the DSP.

  • Love the accent ;)

  • there is no such thing as "cheating" in music/art.

  • Some features that would make me buy this thing:

    Sync-able to MIDI timecode

    Rack mounted

Selectable key with selectable chord for each root

.... Just some thoughts. Pretty cool - good job

  • Man u r genius !

    How did it works ? I assume  ADC-> USB-> LAPTOP SOFTWARE-> USB-> DAC correct ?

  • No, all the processing is done in the dsp of the ToneCore pedal.

  • who else thinks this is bullshit

  • when is this for sale?

  • It's available on my website.

  • this is mega-cool.

  • wow. this is the "TALENT-SIMULATOR". total crap shit.

  • More of a tool I think. You couldn't get away using this for a gig for too long. It would only be good for a couple solos during a show before the audience would get f***ing sick of that noise

  • @KutaniCrane no, it isn't.

  • @KutaniCrane lol @ dumbasses who don't know what they're talking about

  • @Harrisonmon guitar noob detected

  • @KutaniCrane Yeah totally, it'll never be able to play pentatonic licks the way 99% of guitarists can. The skill and talent that went into making this pedal/module is so far beyond anyone who would make a comment as ignorant as yours it's stupefying.

  • @atgvid

    Well said!

  • @KutaniCrane it would work best in an effects loop or dual amp setup. grow some imagination before you speak so disparagingly about someone's invention

  • @KutaniCrane Pink Floyd and Muse have used arpeggiators, tell them they're untalented?

  • Crap...I can't wait until this is available for purchase!

  • It's available on my website.

  • You too can sound like a pinball game ...oh forgot... you guys weren't born when we had pinball...

  • shoot, also is it monophonic or polyphonic?

  • It's polyphonic in the sense that the pitch shifter algorithm don't introduce any glitch or random noise if you play a chord.

  • is there a possibility that you can clock this to MIDI?

  • MIDI will be hard due to the limitation of the microcontroller inside, but i'm thinking of using the second stereo input for sync purpose.

  • I want Line 6 to put this into the M13 so I can sync it up with midi clock... whoa, that would be so friggin cool

  • This is very cool! It's silly to say this is designed for cheaters! It won't make you sound like a skilled guitar player shredding arpeggios at all! Arpeggiators create very mechanically precise arpeggios and provide a very different sound (listen to the attack of the notes)- this can sound great for certain types of electronic music. The argument is like saying amplification is for cheaters who just aren't skilled enough to strum extremely loud :)

PsiKTrOn: How did you modify this pedal??????

  • nevermind, I figured it out.

    ToneCore developer kit...cool!

  • Hey man, any info on when you might start making these available for sale?

  • Hi, everything is nearly ready.

The website will be revealed on Friday 13th November 2009.

  • where can i find it?!!!!?????

or when will it be available????

  • greant!!!!!fantastic!!!! it makes a long time i wait for an arpegiattor in stompbox

  • Where can we buy one?

  • Hi, my website will be on the web in a couple of weeks!

  • If the price is right....I just may bite! You should give us...your first 12 loving customers, 50% off with the requirement that we post videos of HOW MUCH WE LOVE IT. Your sales will sky rocket!

    Love!

One of your NEW BETA TESTERS :-)

  • impressive work

  • I want this pedal, then a device that picks and frets the notes for me, then a stand so I can play the guitar REALLY WELL and not even need to touch it.

  • cool

  • I pretty sure Matt Bellamy from Muse would be very interested in your pedal.

You have designed something as unique as the ZVex Seek Wha,great stuff. 5*

  • Damn! That's a great effect. I definitely want one of these pedals. Great job!!!!!

  • Awesome job!

  • DO WANT!

  • pure genius!

  • Very interesting do you have a code for the ToneCore "Roller Shifter" ?

    A website ?

  • Obviously he does. I hope he doesn't share it with you. He can sell it to you.

  • I want this pedal :-)
