It has a unique style that is controversial its sort of like playing chess. U can only step on certain portions of the map and wait your turn. These turn based type of games are not too popular. I wish it was a adventure rpg or mmo even.

IGN says this is due out in Q3 of 2009 so we still have half a year to wait.

Personally I hate the way this game looks. Battles look so dull and boring. I really wish they would have kept it 2D yet make it high resolution. I don't think it is being developed by the original people either.

ramses1982 i agree with you totally... They took the same concept, drawings , units of disciples 2 and tried to make it 3d and FAILED!!! Even the music is the same!!!

What is from disciples 2: almost all units , animations, music, concept , the great 2d art!!!

What did they develop : A really weak 3d engine nad posibbly some gay game principles..

I liked the old battle style and art much more. This and the art was something that separated Disciples from other strategy games.

Yeah, I loved the "stationary units" battle style. Thats what separated disciples from heroes (which is an awesome game too). Oh well...instantly resolve ftw :D

The other thing I'm disappointed of is that there will be no Undead Hordes... They're my favourite ;[ I hope they'll add it with the Mountain Clans in the expansions..

I dont know, every game which has turned into 3d has mostly lost its magic.....nwn compared to baldurs gate, although nwn 2 expansion is quite good and captures spirit of epicness...

Nice display of how combat will work. A lot of people are saying that this game will suck... but how could it possibly? It now has incredible graphics to add to the gameplay that people know and love in Disciples 2. Has anyone seen the actual previews of this video on the Disciples web site? Long download time, but the graphics are enough to make you shiver.

you are right...about the art...and not only that of monsters...i was always charmed by the detailed graphical aspects in disciples 2...even a simple potion was so attentively design...not to mention the 'armors' on units and npc's, buildings...everything

the battle should be more advance than Disciples 2 but should maintain the old gameplay kind of style. the game can be really repetetative but it never gets me bored because of its monsters are simply amazing art.
