Its hard to find a decent sushi place here, but ironicly the sushi place owned and run by actual Japanese people, serve top quality RAW fish =D, not exactly cheap, but then again, you don't wanna be eating low quality fish raw, so I'm willing to pay the money.

The town I live in has maybe 12 sushi places, but only one authentic place (as I said in last post) and one semi authentic place, and while they have decent sushi, they unfortunately like to tend more to the america pallet. I AM american, and unfortunately not asian at all LOL but my diet is probably 99% asian culture type foods, with the other 1% spread worldwide. I just think Japanese and Chinese food tastes better! =) (without the MSG)

I raise koi & when one is sick & has to be put out of its misery a quick hit on the head in the right spot does the job. The ones I hit do not flap around after...they are dead. When a heron hits one in the right spot it dies instantly.....no movement at all. I have chased away many a heron & the fish are NOT moving when I get to them! Fish have no free nerve endings so it couldn't of felt the chef's knife. What you see here is the equivalent of muscle twitches of an unanesthetized amputation of a limb.

the only intact muscles on this particular fish are in its head, as one can see. So, they are the only ones still neurally active. I'm sure that the rest of the body twitched a little before and after this was filmed, but the gills and head are the most intact.

I raise koi & when one is sick & has to be put out of its misery a quick hit on the head in the right spot does the job. The ones I hit do not flap around after...they are dead. When a heron hits one in the right spot it dies instantly.....no movement at all. I have chased away many a heron & the fish are NOT moving when I get to them! Eating them while still moving is barbaric! The people who eat them like this are not as evolved as the damn herons!

all you who compalin about this are pathetic, go and work in an abbatoir, you will find that many animals will still show signs of life just after being killed, the only difference is we mass slaughter our foods in abbatoirs and then use preserving methods to keep it 'good' until we eat it, by which time the food has stopped twitching, the difference is in these asian pacific countries those methods arent as effective (heat & humidity) so when possible they slaughter in the kitchen for freshness

Fish have no free nerve endings so it couldn't of felt the chef's knife. What you see here is the equivalent of muscle twitches of an unanesthetized amputation of a limb.

the only intact muscles on this particular fish are in its head, as one can see. So, they are the only ones still neurally active. I'm sure that the rest of the body twitched a little before and after this was filmed, but the gills and head are the most intact.
