No matter how many times I watch this movie, it always has the same effect. It instills a sense of wonder.. a sense of how fragile and new things can seem to be. It makes me think of the unknown, of the future. It's an uncertainty, but at the very same time, you look forward to it. It's the same feeling you get when you hold someone else's baby. Your mind races.. It raises so many questions about life, existence, warmth, uncertainty, and mostly yourself and where you stand in the universe..

I don't know what it is about that scene, but I could watch that scene over and over. The song is excellent, the baby is so cute, and there is something about Martin's "in progress" response to her question about how his life is going that makes you realize that he is really looking to change his life.
